Just wanted to say what a fantastic job BC IPO has done for us.

They arranged through Chef Brian at the CR to have a specialty cake made for dd's birthday and also are making purchases at BC Marketplace and have them made into a "gift basket" but with sand pails instead of baskets and a light up mickey balloon attached.

We have always got a response email very quickly and then have been very helpful.

Can the IPO arrange cakes too? I was told by the IPO at the Poly that I would have to call and set it up myself ... now I just cant find the time to set it up myself :confused3

I am now at the point that I am starting to lose sleep. I wake up thinking of WDW. :upsidedow

Only 12 more days before we are staying at the WL CL.

Is there anyone from NY that can give me ideas on "tips" for the CMs in CL? Everyone is saying to give a basket of items from your area. I have no idea-Apples? I love NY trinkets?:confused3 Thanks

What about a nice selection of NY cheeses (1000 Island River Rat) local white cheddar with some spreaders, local maple syrup, local honey, local jams and jellies. Martin's Pretzels, Maybe a Morgia's Pasta basket ? A themed 1000 Islands Inn Basket with story of how dressing was created ?

You could make a nice "The New York Breakfast " basket with a variety of bagels and spreads, add some nice spreaders. Add a nice note and it would be perfect.

I would most likely do a group gift but if there is a special individual you want to recognize find out if they like a NY school or sports team or even a US Open basket would work. HTH

Just wanted to see my counter! :yay:

But looking forward to my CL stay at POLY!

Should I do online check in for Concierge Room?

Don't bother to do online checkin for Club Level at Poly...when you get there, stop at the outside desk where you see a sign for club level guests. They should then take you over to Hawaii where it will take all of a couple of minutes to check in.

Enjoy wonderful Poly!!

Wow, it sounds like they know when you come back to change for dinner and then do the turndown after you leave again. Is that right? Is that the impression you get too?
You are right though, if we leave in the morning and don't come back all day, then there is no trash or dirty towels to take, so we really wouldn't need anything done.

I didn't make up envelopes, but if we were going to be gone all day, I left $5 with a Mickey Mouse sticky note that said "Mousekeeping" and $3 with a note that said "Turndown". I assume it all comes out in the wash. Ha Ha.

Once we were in the room in the afternoon and received a call asking if we wanted turndown and I asked them to wait about 30 minutes when we would be leaving for dinner.

We had a big stash of chocolates to bring home (they left between 5-10 per visit) and I just checked and we are down to our last one. Must hoarde it before the kids realize it is still here...

I've read there is a different color Key to the World for CL guests. Is that correct? Does anyone have a photo of what it looks like?

I don't have a photo of the card, but as PP said, it is yellow. Last year, I didn't even realize the CL cards were a different color from the rest of the room keys until a CM at Auntie Gravities pointed it out when we purchased a smoothie. "What does the yellow card mean?" "We don't know". We figured it out soon after.

Thank you very much!:goodvibes

If you do online check-in, you will not have the private check-in in the Hawaii building. Carlnix (a poster here) made this mistake and had to wait at the GCH for check-in. :headache:
