I know this question may lie on this board already somewhere and I may get bumped....BUT I have a 9 month old and I don't have time to look through all the posts. We will be taking the cruise 09/28 and we are booked at PO for 2 nights when we disembark. I saw a post where board members were asked, PO or Swan? Swan won, hands down. We stayed once at the WL on concierge and I am wondering if the Swan's concierge might be worth it too? Tell me about your experience there if you've had one, Please!?

It's nice, but not the same as Disney concierge levels- they have a continental breakfast, hors d'oeuvers in the evening, and that's about it. The lounge is closed in between, and it is not on a closed floor so virtually anyone can get up there if you know where it is it. I've had the privlege of staying with my parents there, and my father is Starwood platinum so its automatic concierge every time, no additional cost. I would be pretty miffed if I was paying for extra for an "exclusive" perk that everyone and their mother can get to if they just punch the right floor- I'm surprised the lounge itself is not card-protected if the floor isn't.

Anyway, Lounge is small, which means its GREAT when its quiet b/c its very cozy, but when just a few kids get rowdy the lounge becomes very rough to be in, as there are kids running everywhere as opposed to it being a relaxing escape. Also it is a cash bar for wine and beer, unlike the complimentary alcohol at Disney.

The staff is wonderful- Nigel and "Mama T" are the best- super professional, and balance each other well (Nigel is more conservative/formal but has a great dry sense of humor, and "Mama T" is just the sweetest no-nonsense lady ever). Thabo is good as well- the rest of the staff I haven't dealt with as much. They will help get you reservations for on and off WDW property restaurants, but there is no itinerary planning like Disney concierge.

On the scheme of concierge levels its okay- Disney and most other surrounding hotels with concierge provide more (Hyatt Grand Cypress comes to mind) in terms of a fully stocked lounge with more courses offered and open longer, but its good. However, the view from the lounge is great, and the rooms are handsdown better than any Disney deluxe property IMHO- those heavenly beds truly are heavenly!!! :D I also agree that concierge or not, its probably one of the best price-values on property...you will have a good time there!

The Swan is great without concierage. We buy snacks and breakfast food before we get to the room, so no need for concierage. I would upgrade to a bigger room, better view, or balcony over concierage. Disneychick is right it's a great hotel that offers a great rate, especially the location to MGM/Epcot/Boardwalk. The staff is very professional and the concierage desk in the lobby can make PS's for you. The rooms only have the wonderful Heavenly Beds. Did I mention the location?

Thanks for your help! I remember walking through those two hotels and the accessability to the parks.
We got spoiled at WL concierge, so I was hoping for the same at Swan but figured it would not be as it is owned by Westin.
Thanks again for the advice.
