Concerned about my cat's eye.....

I have a 3 year old male Siamese cat. He's exclusively an indoor cat, he's never been outside. Within the last 2-3 days I've noticed that his left eye looks like it has some whitish pus-type stuff on the inside corner, closest to his nose. His eye doesn't look irritated at all, but this white "stuff" doesn't seem to be going away or working its' way out of his eye. I'll call the vet's office tomorrow, but I'm wondering if any of you might know what this is. Thanks! And Mushu thanks you, too =^..^=

My persian would sometimes get scratches on her cornea. Persians are more prone to this because of the shape of their face but it can be rather serious. Most of the time she just needed eye ointment but once she had to have one of her eyes stiched closed while her eye healed. She was also strictly indoor.

I'd take him in to get it checked. Hope it is just a cold or something minor.

I had a cat that was allergic to carpet deoderants (took awhile to determine exactly what was causing the allergy) and his eye would get infected and leak pus. When it first began we took him to the vet, got eye medication to rub on his eye which took care of the problem. But I found that cleaning his eye several times a day with a warm wash cloth took care of the problem just as nicely and was alot easier than rubbing an ointment on his eye.
