Frontier has seat assignments, which you choose when you purchase your ticket. They also have Direct TV for $6 (by swiping your credit card). Here are the good and bad of Frontier (my favorite airline, BTW):
Economy Ticket:
- Cheapest fares
- baggage costs (per person) $20 for 1st and 2nd, $50 for third+
- Direct TV and movies available for purchase on the plane
- $50 flight change fee
Classic Ticket:
- mid tier (can be comparable to Southwest)
- Baggage costs (per person) 1st & 2nd baggage is free, 3rd+ $50
- Direct TV included, in-flight movies available for purchase
- $25 flight change fee
Classic Plus:
- highest tier
- Baggage fees: same as Classic
- Direct TV and Movies: same as Classic
- $0 flight change fee
- priority boarding & stretch seating

They are HQ out of Denver and a nice airline to fly. I usually compare prices between Frontier (Classic) & Southwest (w/$10 per ticket per trip preboard fee). If Frontier is close, I pick them due to seat choices, Direct TV availability, and cookies!!

Oh, Frontier also has a family preboarding, but that is more for convenience than seat choice, so other people are not as cranky about those that preboard
