Computer/email related question

[always quiet]

I have 2 seperate email accounts on my computer, one verizon and the other msn. I opened my verizon (outlook express) mail this morning and it in was an 'email' from myself!! It should my name in the 'from' line and when I clicked it, it said "Colleen is sending you free movie tickets, click here". I KNOW I might be loosing it on some days, but I am pretty darn sure I would of remembered that!! I deleted it, first thinking it was junk mail, but then got to thinking...it must of gone through my msn email address book to of picked up the other email address. That can't be good!! Am I imagining things or does this sound like a virus?? I think I should contact people in my address book and give them the heads up!!

Sounds like it very well could be. I would do a virus scan and verify.

Also, don't forget about spammers. Once they get your name from somewhere, you could be getting a lot more like that. But definately do a virus scan first!

Did it come from one of those annoing pop-ups or a "rewards" site? I've gotten that email before, but it was from my cousin's email. It's weird that it's from you.

I asked my sister and she told me she got this one (from me!!) about a week ago. She hasn't opened it and I told her I did not send it and to delete it, just in case. I am running a virus scan now to play it safe.
