Are there any computers available at BCV's or the Hotel for guests to use?

I have stayed at many hotels that provide computers for guests to use.
These are often in or near thel lobby.
Just looking to check on an email.

Good question......with all my stays at BWV I've never seen any public computer access.

You can "rent" computer time at the BW business center. Below is from Disney. It didn't mention what the computer charges are - or if DVC members have to pay for internet access at the business center. (I'd looked it up a while back, but it seemed like less hassle to just take my laptop.)

"The Business Center is located in the Conference Center, and provides fax, photo copy, mail and computer services, including Internet access (additional fee applies) for Resort Guests."

DisFlan

If you can, bring a laptop. IIRC, the Business Center charges by the hour (I can't remember the exact charge, maybe $10-15). It would be a rather expensive way just to check e-mail. :scared1:
Not only is room internet access free (for DVC), but it's fairly decent.
Only you can decide how important it is to check your e-mail or whether you can forgo it. :thumbsup2

10-15 dollars an hour is a little much.

A $79 a night residence inn has free acess.
Not comparing hotels it just seems like another excessive charge by Disney.

Does Residence Inn provide computers for guest use, at no charge?

If not, you're comparing apples to oranges. Comparing internet access in guest rooms, with the guest's own computer, to the use of the hotel's computers in a business center.

There's no charge for internet access in guest rooms at DVC resorts if you're a DVC member, but you must, of course, bring your own computer. For non-members, or members staying at a non-DVC resort, it's $9.95 per 24 hour period for access. Which is actually quite reasonable, compared to what other hotels charge. I've seen $16/day in NYC, and $20/day in SF.

It's the cheapie places that cater to business travelers (like Residence Inn) that have free internet, because they have to compete with the 10 dozen other cheap hotel brands that cater to business travelers.

Residence Inn has a couple of computers in the lobby area for guest use.
I have also stayed at several other hotels that have computers for guests use.
These were not all "cheapo"hotels.
Marriott in DC is one.
I just thought that there may be some available for a guest to use.
I was hoping to lleave laptop home.
Th efree internet in the room for DVC members is a good perk.
Perhaps extending that to use of bussinees center shold be concidered.

I think the business centers are contracted out, and not actually operated by Disney. If this is the case, I surely wouldn't expect to see free or reduced fees for DVC.

I used the computers at the biz center last time. You pay for 5, 15 or 20 min intervals or and hour. I think I paid like 5 bucks for 15 min.
