I used the 3m compressed air to clean my keyboard, and now the bittering agent is getting on my fingers and it tastes awful! Blech! I sprayed it a few days ago and it does not seem to be going away.

Any safe tips to clean it? It's on a laptop computer.

THANKS!

What the heck is a bittering agent? Something to keep people from eating the cleaner?

I don't know what would clean it other than regular cleaners, but wash your hands before you eat or don't eat off of the keyboard! Hehehehehee

I'm glad it's not just me. When first read this post this morning, I didn't get it either. Now that others have chimed in - I have to say: Come back OP! Explain it to us!

I used a can of compressed air to clean the mess out of my laptop computer keyboard. 3M puts a bittering agent in the cans of air now, so that kids will be less willing to "huff" the fumes and die!

But, it's getting on my hands while I type, and is YUCKY tasting!

So, I need to clean the keyboard, but it's part of my laptop and I don't know what to do!!

THANKS!!

So it's not coming off when you wash your hands? Or you don't wash your hands?

I had the same problem when I bought "compressed gas" by accident. "Dust Off" doesn't seem to have that problem.

Yes, I wash my hands, but not constantly, and not usually after I use my computer (I know that I probably should!)

I am washing them each time now, but it was just weird!

What have you tried cleaning it with.
Maybe a disenfecting wipe might work.

Can't you just take a papertowel lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol and wipe off the top of your keyboard?
