It's a question of if you don't ask you don't get so I am bracing myself to pluck up the courage to ask to be upgraded. Staying at DLH which I know will be wonderful but castle club would be FAB!!
Any thoughts on this.....email in advance..if so would someone have an email address?...or write, phone of just ask on arrival?
It is my 4oth birthday!!!:rotfl:

I was wondering this too. I've heard a lot about the WDW hotels sometimes giving free upgrades and was curious if anyone ever got one in DLP, specifically DLH.

We were upgraded at the Sequoia Lodge from a standard Montana room to a lake view Montana room but that was out of season in March.
I've never heard of anyone being upgraded at DLH from standard to Castle Club for free and I would think it would be very unlikely.

I'm sure you'll have an amazing stay and a very magical birthday even so :)

Just out of interest Raci did you ask to be upgraded from a standard Montana room at the Sequoia Lodge or did they just upgrade you??
We are going next March and wondered if it was worth asking to be upgraded to a Lakeview room if it is quiet.

Hi Poppie!
No we didn't ask, it wasn't even mentioned at check-in.
The first we knew of it was when we got to our room and looked out the window. It was a lovely surprise. :)

i don't think it's impossible, but not very likely, but you just never know!

I think it depends as much on when you're going, but CC rooms seem to be booked up months in advance from what I've heard.

definitely push the birthday event though, as you may get a freebie, who knows?
