I am using 200 2001 points and borrowing 186 2002 points with a use year of Feb for a trip in late December-early January. I need 10 more points to extend the trip one more day (gotta have it! already paid for flights!) I found someone who can provide the 10 points, but they are banked and can't be transferred to me. So I am planning to transfer 14 of my 2001 points to his acct, then he will add that to his 10, and make the reservation for me. Will this work? If I transfer my points, I will fall below what I need to have for the reservation I already made. How can I work this out?

Interesting dilemma. I would find another member to rent those points from- you are getting yourself in deeper trouble by doing what you suggest. There seem to be a number of members willing to rent points- who could transfer to you. If you transfer to them- you will be 14 points short instead of only 10. Good luck!

Call member services and try and pay cash for any one of the days you have reserved. That will free up one days worth of points to add on one more day.

If a member discount is available for cash, use it for the weekend day(s). An alternative would be to rent the one night from another member and link it to your reservation. Just rent the total points (?24) needed for the night and save your extra 14 for later.

We are going down Nov. 23 to Dec 2. Made our ressie at BWV beginning Nov. 24 then found out we could get much cheaper airfare if we flew out on Nov. 23. Weren't sure if we could get another day at BWV so we booked the first day offsite (sort of) at the Best Western on Hotel Blvd. This might be an option for you if you just book offsite for your last day. Then you won't have to worry about points. Just a suggestion, but I've heard several people do this type of ressie to save points.
