Want to know your opinion on likehood of the following situation at BWV:
Checking in Dec 19th in studio, switching Dec 20th to 2 BR - will the studio
be connected to the 2BR so we don't have to move rooms? Is it likely if we have to change rooms that the new room would be ready by noon ?

Trying to decide whether to stay off property Dec 19 ( thus saving our points on the 19th ) as my mother has offered to host us at her ts at Bonnet Creek.
Problem is, we want to get to the MK early on the 20th and then come back for a nap ( 2yr old involved ) around noon. If we got a studio that would be the same for the 19th and the rest of the trip, we would for sure have a place to head back for our park break. If we are checking in to a new room-
I suppose either from off property or just moving rooms at BWV- we might be "homeless" at noon- not good for a 2 yr old in need of a nap. Seeing what others have experienced with this?

Also, trying to figure out the ticket thing.... we have no exp tickets from our last dvc stay- they are on our old hotel room key, I guess in Disney's system?
Can I just use that key to get into the park if we decide to stay off property first and then have the remaining days tx'd to the key on property.

Thanks for your help

It's possible that you won't have to move, but you have a better chance winning lotto. You can use your old room key but technically it's not good for free parking.

All of the 2 bedroom units at the BWV are lock offs - a studio and 1 bedroom with a connecting door. However, some of the studios and 1 bedroom units are dedicated (don't connect to any other room). It's impossible for anyone here to know if the BWV can grant your request (and that is all that it is). If your studio is a dedicated one, then it will be impossible to grant the request. If you have a lock off studio, then it will depend on the guests assigned to the connecting 1 bedroom. Obviously, they won't move someone in the middle of their trip to accommodate the request.

That said, you could certainly call MS and ask to have the request noted on both portions of your reservation and then politely repeat the request at check in. I'm sure they will accommodate you if they can.

Would it work to go back to your mother's timeshare for the nap if the 2 bedroom wasn't ready when you check in? Bonnet Creek really isn't all that far from the parks - comparable distance to some of the WDW resorts. (I'm assuming you will have a car and can drive).

You just use the old key until the days are used up. Although some have reported that there is a way to transfer a partially used ticket to a new room key, most CMs will tell you that it can't be done. I suspect it is very time consuming process, not all are trained and those that are don't like to do it. My advice is to plan on using the old room keys until the park tickets are used up.

It also depends upon the category booked for your two rooms at BWV. There is a standard category, and a BWV view category. They would have to be the same for this to even be a slight possibility..
