I wish I was going today...it has been too damn cold. I seriously checked into going on the Panamal Canal one...but it was booked up in less than a day. Now I will lurk the boards to find out who I have to kill to get their room.

I don't know why you're complaining about the cold...I mean, it's TROPICAL in Chicago. My car seats are made of granite - I surprised I can even type, I need to get those fingerless gloves for my office.

Yeah, clearly "Good Rex" stayed home in Chicago while his alter ego went on to Florida. I think Indianpolis should have named Rex their MVP. Although, I will say - living as close to Wrigley as we do (we can hear the organ from inside our house...with the windows closed), we are used to losing.

I'll work on getting you that book contract for the 11/22 cruise, then everything would be all paid up....

I usually read TR from just the parks but am hoping to cruise (for the first time) for our next trip so I have to do some major research. I really enjoyed your report.

I had to laugh at the Suck - O -Matic. Like I said we have never cruised but we have taken the auto train from VA to FLA. When my daughter was 6 she would use the train bathroom, yell for me to open the door, push the button and then run

I read your encounter of Mr. KIA getting temporarily lost and I cried just reading it. When our son was 7 he got lost at Sea World for about 5 minutes (felt more like 5 hours). He too was quite smart and was on his way to find the guys that film for the giant screen. We heard him crying before we ever saw him. That was 9 years ago and I can still tell you what he was wearing.

I also want to say that I am sorry for your loss. I know it was 5 months ago, and although I have not had that experience, I do know that grief lasts forever. So I too am thinking of your family.

Thanks for sharing your trip. I really need to do a Disney cruise now.

As far as Christmas 2008 I would love to go. I just can't convince LOP to go anywhere for the Holidays. I have always wanted to do the World for Christmas...a cruise sounds even better.

I was referring to my kid and our table mates. After dinner, we would drop the kids (Mr. KIA and their son) and go to the adult show or go have some cocktails etc. We would usually get caught up in conversation and both of our pagers ( ours and our tablemates) would go off because our kid and their kid were the only two kids left in the club.

I hope that clears things up for you. Other than that, thanks for reading. I am glad you enjoyed it. It almost sounds like a plug for a movie. "I laughed, Icried" Maybe forget the book deal and just write the sceen play. I could leave the audience hanging so I would have to go on at least two more to complete the Grumpy Dude Trip Report Trilogy.
