complementary upgrades at mods

Has anyone ever been upgraded at a mod from a standard to water or preferred view? Just curious as I see people have gotten upgrades at deluxes, including me, but haven't seen anything on the mods.

I seem to remember a few years ago when we were staying at our first mod - POFQ. When you left your room and were walking along the walkway to the elevators we saw that we could see water outside our door across the grassy area. I guess that was an upgrade to water view. No one said anything at check in about it, but I know we hadn't paid any extra for it. I wouldn't pay extra for a water view at a mod because there are no balconies from which to sit and enjoy a view. Now, I would pay extra for a preferred location, to be closer to the food court/pool.

I guess we were upgraded at the FQ this past October. We were in bldg one and did overlook the courtyard to bldg 3 I think? Anywho if you looked to the right you could see the river. We also didn't pay for it and nothing was said to us at check-in either.

Upgrade at mods...is that possible??? We havn't even been able to get a building request honored. But seriously back when I was trying to decide which mod to book at (early summer) I remember seeing a few scattered posts about the upgrades to water view here and there, but not as many as you lucky deluxe upgraders! I agree with ADisneygirl, though I wouldn't pay extra for a water view at a moderate, as it doesn't seem to be worth it b/c of no private balconies and in most cases at the mods, the water view seems to cost more but can be further from the food court/main building/bus stops.

Yes I have been upgraded at the mods. Personally some of the water views are quite creative. If they are free then ok but nothing most times to pay extra for.

If you are upgraded to a preferred location at CBR that is a great freeby since it is worth paying for.

We were upgraded in December at CSR. CM at check-in didn't say anything, and we didn't realize it until we got to our room. The water view that we had was really nice, but I don't think I would pay for it.

We were upgraded from a standard view to a preferred building at CBR in nov/dec of 2004. We were traveling with my cousins family and they paid for a water view. The cast member at the desk said they would upgrade both families since we had orginally requested the Jamaica building and there was nothing available in it to accomodate us. We ended up in building 32 in Trinidad north.

I paid for ones of those "creative" rooms at POR. It was the only room availale at a discount when I booked it. It was one of my first on site stays. If it happened again I would be complaining.
