Compare the drop in POTC and Maelstrom please

I have ridden both about 10 times. I still don't know where the drop is in POTC. I can't believe I've ridden it that many times and didn't know there was drop in it. Maelstrom I know has the small hill at the end. Where is the drop in POTC? I will be on it Wed!!! Maybe this time I will feel it.

The one in POTC is in pitch black and the Malestrom you can see it. Even though it bigger, it's less scary.
