Compare grocery prices.

Newly wed DD21 wanted help today for planning thier suppers, so we went to Sobeys for her groceries.I had a chance Friday night to shop at Walmart and Food Basics. Boy Sobeys could be exspensive.
Those Cakester snacks-Sobeys 2 for $5.00
Walmart $1.00 each
Pack of six Bottle Coke/Pepsi Sobeys $.4.??
Food Basics $1.97 sale

We have Sobey's (Expensive), Safeway (Very Expensive), Superstore (very warehousey but cheaper) and Wal-mart here in Brandon. I find that Wal-mart has the best prices for the groceries and household products that it offers, however, our Wal-mart doesn't have a full grocery area (darn!) so we have to buy produce and fresh meats from other stores.

Dollar for dollar, I can walk out with more groceries from Wal-mart than I can from any of the grocery chains.

I agree. Sobey's does have better beef than anywhere that I have found (except for costco). I am not going to superstore any more since in our area they are bag your own groceries! If I wanted to do that I would go to No frills! I do like No frills but sometimes the stress of bagging $200 worth of groceries in 2 minutes makes me nuts.
