Compare Coral Reef Last Year vs. This Year

Our last two visits were Jan. 2008 and Jan. 2007.

We actually did not have a great experience on our 2007 trip. The food was below average, the menu selction was poor, and service was just so so. I planned on skipping CR for our 2008 trip, however when I found out they added the king crab legs (which are now currently off the menu) I wanted to give it another try.

Well, I was glad that we did. For the 2008 trip it was a much better experience. The crab legs were very good, and service was much much better.

The only thing is that I really do not like their menu selection, and if they do not change it, or add the crab legs back on, we won't be going for awhile. But, from lots of reviews I read about the CR, it is hit or miss. The atmosphere is obviously the big draw, and it really is beautiful. I just wish their quality of food and food selection to choose from was better.

Excellent both Aug-Sept 2007 and Aug-Sept 2008....love the lobster soup, and I personally have found it to be a quiet spot both times we've dined there (first year lunch, this time early dinner.)
