I was gifted comp tickets for my family for our upcoming trip. I understand I need to exchange the print outs for actual tickets at park Guest Relations. Does anyone know if I can use the barcode number on the print out to link to MDE and make my FP+ selections? It says only 7 days in advance, which is fine, I can handle that, but I wasn't sure if I could do that right now (23 days out) or had to wait until I get the actual tickets at the parks? We also have 3 and 4 day hoppers in our MDE profiles to use as well. And no block out days are listed, can I find out if they are blocked from a specific park (MK?) or anything for July? I don't want to plan to go to MK and not be able to since we do have other tickets too I can use those for any blocked out days if needed.

1. Just try it.
2. About what is it referring?
3. Nothing will be ruined if you try to add the numbers now.
4. Block-out dates are not park-specific. It's all or nothing.

2. It says I can make fp+ 7 days in advance. How do I find out what (if any) days are blocked out?

Comps should never be blocked out. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell me I'm super wrong, but that's been my experience since the late 90's.

I will be in a similar boat to you in about 2 weeks, so hopefully we all have success.

Yes, you can make FP+ reservations 7 days in advance. No, there are no blackout dates for comp tickets. Unless the park were to reach capacity and they started turning people away.

Use the number on the printout, and when you exchange them the CM will ask if you made FP+ reservations, and will make sure they are transferred to the plastic ticket.

I did this last Saturday, and it was easy peasy.

That "7 day" got me thinking what you actually read. Does it say you can only make FP+ for the time stretch of up to 7 days from "today"? Or does it say you can only make FP+ for up to 7 different days within the next 30 days?

I ask because APers can only make 7 different days of FP+ within the next 30 days.

I think it is the "only make FP+ within the next 7 days" option. However, since you already have left-over ticket days from previous tickets, you should be able to make FP+ farther into the future using those ticket days. Just remember to re-prioritize the comp tickets on MDE so they are used on the actual days of your visits. Sounds confusing, I know.

Great I am hoping for easy peasy! :thumbsup2

This is what it says on the ticket print out: Plan in advance to make FastPass+ selections up to 7 days prior to your theme park visit at mydisneyexperience.com

So I assume I can make FP+ for those only 7 days prior to the day we plan to use them, right? I have FP+ already for the other three days we have on our tickets (previous PH tickets, two military salute and 2 child PH tickets). I will try tonight to see if I can add the comp tickets to MDE and add FP+ for them yet or not. We will be in WDW for 11 days so I would be making the FP+ for these while we are there which would be kind of a pain.

Curious, are these Cast Member comps or "other" complimentary tickets like hospitality or such? If CM e-tickets, those are never blocked out but some third party complimentary tickets can be blocked out at various times.

Sounds like if you have tickets and no WDW resort reservation, MDE will only allow you to schedule FP+ for the next 7 days after the day you attempt to make the FP+.

So I linked them today and was able to make FP+ reservations for the day we will use the tickets. So it must be because I have a resort reservation that I can do that.

Yes, you get 60 days lead time for FP+ if you have a WDW resort reservation. This is why Anna & Elsa FP+ are (almost) all gone by the time the AP 30 day lead time starts.

Oh my gosh thank you thank you thank you I have been scouring the internet for just this question! or answer I guess - I had the question ;)

I'm traveling in Sept with CM Comp tickets - I have a resort stay booked - July 14th is my 60 days out. So I can enter the #'s from the paper comp tickets - reserve FP+ and then.....- where do you turn the paper comp tickets in? Guest Relations at your resort? Ahead of the turnstiles?

Will I be able to do all the days at once or only one day at a time? (we're staying four days and using CM Comp tickets for the whole stay)

Thank you!!!

1. You can ASK at the Concierge Desk.
Guaranteed, you can do it at Guest Relations outside the parks.

2. I don't know. Again, just ask.

Thank you for such a speedy reply!

So I guess I'd just have to track which ticket # I've attached to which person for which day in the event that I can only do one day at a time.
