Does anyone work in Dc and live in WV? People have told me that the commute is not that far..but from what I can tell, it would be a two and 15 minute commute on the train. Does anyone drive it? Is it not as far to drive? Any help would be great!

whether you should drive or take the train would depend at what time you are commuting. i live right off of I-270 in rockville, md. we've driven to wv from here before and it's not too bad of a drive, depending on where you live. i know a few people who do that wv-dc commute.

if you are going to be commuting during normal rush hour, it could easily take you more than 2 hours to drive. sometimes it takes us an hour and a half to two hours to get in and that is just from the suburbs. the average from where we live to downtown during rush hour is an hour.

Thanks. I live in gaithersburg and my DH works downtown. In the rain it can take him over an hour and a half just to get home. I really dont want to move out there..but we dont own a house yet. So we either need to move away (atlanta or raleigh) or we need to move out there. I think I am leaning towards moving altogether. The schools are not great there and I can get a much bigger house in another area and still be a SAHM! But thanks again..I had never done the drive to Martinsburg...so the information was great!
