commute from Poly to Epcot?

We've read that the commute between Polynesian and Epcot can be more than 35 minutes? That seems long...can that be accurate? thanks...

Depends how you go and how your timing is.

Driving should take much less time.

IMO, the quickest way on Disney transport would be a 10 minute walk from the Poly to the TTC followed by the maybe 15 minute ride to Epcot. If you had to wait 10 minutes for the next monorail, there you go at 35 minutes.

If, for some reason, you decided to take the resort monorail all the way around from the Poly to the TTC, and you had to wait the maximum to board initially and then again when you switched at the TTC, it could conceivably take a lot longer.

It's likely the trip will take less time than 35 minutes, but for planning purposes I would build in at least 30 minutes for the travel time.

And don't forget that just gets you to the gate -- if your destination is one of the restaurants in World Showcase, it'll take much longer again.

When you factor in walking from the Polynesian to the TTC, waiting for the Epcot Monorail and then the actual ride time it takes I can see it being around a 30 minute trip. However should you have access to a car then it would take about 10 - 15 minutes.

I nearly always drive to Epcot, from just about anywhere, unless I'm planning a stop at the Margarita stand in Mexico.

We stayed in Tokelau. Our walk was probably less than 5 to the TTC (and it was hot August). We always took the monorail. I probably left up to an hour before we had to be somewhere, but we like to check in to our restaurants early or ride a ride.

35 minutes seems a bit steep, unless that includes the walk to the back of the park. But we probably walk faster than most people, I generally have to jog to keep up with DH. But I guess I've never really looked at my watch either.

I guess the walk to TTC will depend on which longhouse you are in.
