Commitment Thread - Week 2

Doin' good so far...as Tiggerkeeper would say...a three-star day yesterday :sunny:

I was so hungry last night, but didn't eat cause it was after 8pm. Down another pound this am. :jumping2:

Walked 2.5 miles last night.

Did better on the water, but still not where I could be!

Well, I started my week off with a different approach....bad seafood! Yes, I was down a couple of pounds in one day! Blek! It is kinda funny though because I have to make myself eat fish twice a week (Drs. orders). I hate fish, now just one more reason why!

My official weight for last week was "drum roll" ONE POUND. Hey, I'll take it that's one less to worry about this week! Gotta get on that TM more days! SO, this week my challenge will be.....

Drink water
Stay OP
Get on the TM 5 days NO EXCUSES

Mel, congrats on those stars keep 'em coming! And by the way I live in the heart of South Carolina Gamecock country and if I hear the name Spurrier (Spelling is probably wrong) one more time I'll scream!! He just keeps showing up in the SEC! These people think he is sliced bread.

chrismiss we are all behind you. Now get a plan and let's go!!!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug: :cheer2: :cheer2:

littlemissmickey glad to see you are better :sunny:

There are some great committments here good luck to all of you. I know you can do it! A key point I read recently was to focus on the day to day and not get frustrated with the long term. I am so guilty of looking up the mountain and seeing the distance to go instead of looking at where I am and have been.

Okay y'all let's kick some comittment butt this week! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: There are some areas of FL where Steve still walks on water...probably not Tallahassee or Miami, though ;)

I'm afraid I lost a star last night. The nummies and the PMS collided...so I caved. The good news is that the Xmas M&Ms are all gone now! Oh well...that's just one battle. I think I'm still winning the war...the scale went down a little bit more this morning, still walking the TM and drinkin' the H2O! I'm wearing jeans today that I haven't worn since before my last pregnancy (she'll be 2 next month) :cheer2:
I might make Zera's 5-lb challenge after all.

Mel-
Great job with the jeans!!

I did good yesterday, even stayed away from the snacks while watching Amaxing Race, which is my weak point. I always like a good snack when I watch that show for some reason???

Hope everyone has a great day! :sunny:

Geez, I think "that time of the month" is the hardest challenge for a diet. Even when I am not aware of when I am supposed to start my appetite is a big clue that it's coming. The Dr. says it is all in my head...uh, no...my pelivs is more like it. I am trying to find something chocolate that I can consider ok to eat in total moderation so I don't feel deprived. Any suggestions gang?

Mel - Yay! on the jeans

Karen good job on resisting the tv snacks! :Pinkbounc that is a hard thing to do!

Gang, I hope you have a great day and that you get ALL your stars! You can do it! :flower:

Melissa
Whose body is under new management!

I used to eat those Hershey hard candies. I think there's chocolate, chocolate caramel. Not too bad, but they don't have the mouth feel of regular chocolate.

Now I've moved up to the gourmet stuff. Dagoba dark chocolate bars in various flavors (mint, roseberry, lavendar, there's one with chili peppers). You can't eat a whole lot 'cause they're too rich. Two sections of the mint bar are only 64 calories and I can be satisfied with that...most of the time ;)

For me it was Fat Free Devils Food pudding snack pack....2 points!!! Quite yummy and very chocolatey.....another favorite that was a think 2 points was a Skinny Cow Fudge bar. Better than an fudgecicle I ever had. Big, delicious, filling and hits that chocolate craving.

Sounds like everybody is right on track with their comittments this week! I am very happy to report that I have NO pop at all yesterday. Just lots of water during the day and some decaff tea for dinner. Speaking of dinner....it was quite SBD and I also did my two mile walk outside....so for day one of my commitment, I think I did pretty good!

Keep up the great work. I love hearing about everybody's successes!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Ok, I had 3 Kashi Chewy Granola bars last night. Why oh why do I do that. SUGAR is evil!

Luckily I'm still OP as I had plenty of flex points to use. I only used 5.5 of my flex points on them too so it wasn't too bad.

I need to have some willpower and have a few lower points days. I've been using my AP's and flex points each day for a little while and I think my body needs a few lower points day to shake it and get the scale moving.

That is what I want to work on for Today and tomorrow. To keep my points around 22 and not use any flex.

Another 3 star day! :jumping1: Even got on the TM early today so I could watch Lost tonight without guilt.

Thanks for the chocolate treat ideas I have a feeling a couple weeks down the road I am gonna need them.

Hope everyone is happy dancing tonight!

ohhhh.........the sounds of chocolate :teeth:

i'm hanging in there -- 3/5 exercising days are done -- still within my pts since monday and i realize it's only wednesday  but as a wiser poster just posted i like the thinking of day to day and that's all i'm focusing on

i did my weekly WI today, i think i may be down one pound; but i feel as fluffy as ever. my trouble spots seems to be enlarged three-fold. i feel like they are just PUFFING out there -- anyone else ever feel that. maybe its PMS, who knows

my DDs both have a virus, fever, sore throat, etc -- keeping me busy between rooms refilling their hot tea, bringing them movies, etc -- that's ok it's keeping my busy and moving

i'm getting back to where i enjoy and even look forward to my meals - appreciate them more but still enjoy the WW friendly foods too

mel - at least you used your FP on something a bit healthy :worship:

chrismiss -- :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: you can do it! day by day

i'm trying to psyche myself up for the weekend and staying with my FP and I can say with certainity they wont' be spent as wisely as melanie! :bitelip:

Hi to All!!

Ok group :grouphug: made the commitment and signed up for WW online!!

My commitment for tomorrow is

To stay on WW points
exercise
and start feeling better about myself

Thanks for the support :flower: :flower:

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earboy2:

You guys ROCK!!! Weigh to go! You are my inspiration. :flower:

It's been an on again, off again week for me. I am recording on Fitday....mostly. I've had my lessons planned, prepared and ready to go far in advance  I've been drinking my water every day :drinking1 and I've not eaten after 9:30 p.m. :Pinkbounc I haven't made it to Curves yet, so I'm doubtful that I'll get there twice this week. Still Thursday, Friday and Saturday, though, so who knows. I've been really tired....was in bed by 8:30 last night....so I don't know if I'm just exhausted or if I'm fighting off something. I'll try to get to Curves tomorrow....I promise!!!

Hey ALL! I got to work out today!!! I am so happy!!!

Being sick paid off: I lost SIX POUNDS. That means that had I signed up for the 5 for January Challenge, I would have completed it in a week. It would have been my first successful challenge! So... Yeah, anyway.

Still on plan! Ten Days Cheat Free!!!

You are all doing awesome, and I love the different chocolate "categories" that we are coming up with. I also love the dancing banana.

As for now, I must do work. Just wanted to let you know that I had a successful workout (4 miles, 52 minutes) and lost SIX POUNDS! Only twelve more to go until GOAL!

Ashley

I am not truly into it totally YET - I am eating in points but too many carbs and I want salt - so you guessed it I was up 1.5 today BUT I actually feel thinner today more than I have all week! My pants were looser, yadda, yadda.

I want to be better so I am still hanging in there with my same committment as last week and really have been drinking more H2O - so there are more potty breaks at work - but that's just too bad - since I am a receptionist it does make it a tad harder for me to just up and leave but I just put the lines on "hold" and make a mad dash :earseek: Some extra exercise that way too!

I did some strength training Tuesday and my arms were feeling it - so used some muscles that we on "vacation" for awhile I guess!

I am getting back to the I don't even think about food after 7:00 so that is a good sign of progress, too!

I am saving FP for the weekend - and this weekend I made a provision in my contract to have a glass or 2 of wine, too - ohMom is visiting :earboy2:

Keep up the good work - we are on our way DOWNWARD!!!

Here we are with another day gone and a new one ahead. Hope you all meet your goals for the day! :sunny:

:wave2:

Sounds like everyone is really doing great with their commitments!
I just had to get that dancing banana in there, lol! :rotfl:

Tiggerkeeper, I know what you mean about that TOM, it is really hard too and I find it unreasonable to think it is all in our heads. Wow, we must all be telepathic then!
chimera-2 words--DAGOBA ROCKS!
lizdotcom99those fudgesicles are good! I like the Vanilla Mini Lite IC Sandwiches by Schwans, 100 cal & 2g fat-little bars but they are great! :teeth:
MelanieC We must keep away from the evil sugar, I need help with that too! :wizard:
ohMom Hope your daughters are feeling better soon! Just take it 1 day at a time like we are here! :grouphug: Enjoy your wine!!! :drinking:
chrismiss56 WTG!!!!! You should feel better about yourself because you signed up!!! :cool1:
Debbie You're doing great, recording and keeping up with your plans. Sending you some good vibes to ward off any sick germs lurking around!
:goodvibes:
Ashley Wow, that is great, before you know it, you'll be at goal!!! :cheer2:
Alreadyexcitedgrammy Heck if your pants are looser that is pretty great! Have fun planning your wine weekend, lol, just kidding!! :rotfl:

I've been doing good and am trying something a little new for me today. I've plotted out my meals/snacks for the day in order to keep a little better control on my afternoon munchie attacks. I work from home and have a hard time keeping out of the cupbards & fridge during the afternoon hours, so hopefully by writing it out and seeing it on the counter I'll be more apt to stick to it, who knows??? :confused3

I am pleased with some food choices I'm making now and since I buy food from Schwans (company that delivers food to your home) I was able to pick some really healthy things to stock in the freezer. The have lots of good nutritional info on their website so it was easy to pick & choose what to have on hand. Even DH & DS said they like what I've been making and want to help out with a February restaurant challenge. We go out to eat way too often so we are going to try to eat every meal at home with the exception of DH working late (but he has to spend less than $6-usually Subway) and DS eating the school lunches daily. We said we would go out to eat 1 time around VD, but besides that we want to stay home, save money and eat healthy. Send me some pixie dust for this one!! :wizard:

Hope everyone has a terrific day & I just have to say :disrocks:!!!

I love these smilies!

Everyone is doing great, it is an accomplishment just to be checking in here as that is a commitment too. I didn't get on the TM yesterday and I have to say that it wasn't because I didn't want to. Business got in the way, but I did get on there this morning and it is starting to feel good again. I remember when I had a love for my TM and felt lost if I missed my morning with it:) I am doing much better with my water but I'm having to really work hard on more veggies. I am having to find creative ways to get them in.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Having a great day here....and so glad to see that you all are too!!! :cool1:

I did 3 mile WATP today for the first time ever! Talk about some motivation...Whoo hoo!! I have had a diet pepsi, but had 2 waters befroe hand. I have also done well with my eating. I could not have doen it without all of you so a big :grouphug: and thanks to all of you!!

:cool1: :cool1:
