We made it through week 1 and now we are on to week 2. My commitment for the week will continue to work more veggies into my meals and to drink more water. I also did three days on the TM last week and I plan on doing five this week.

Remember to set your own goal for the week and then let us know how you are doing. Yes, we will all slip some time or another, but that is OK. That is why we are here, to give support to each other.

If you didn't check in with us last week, feel free to this week. This isn't a particular challenge, just trying to keep ourselves accoutable for things that we know we need to work on.

Keep up the great work everyone. I look forward to hearing how everyone is doing and will be reporting in on how I am doing as well. Have a great day!

Mornin' Tammy

I'd like to keep with the same commitments from last week. Staying accountable here has been sooooo helpful :flower1:

1. The Gremlin commitment: no eating after 8pm
2. The Potty All The Time commitment: one glass of water for every caffeinated beverage I drink.
3. The Walk a Mile in My Shoes commitment: Keep on walking, increasing mileage slowly (7.75 miles last week)

Thanks, Tammy! This is fabulous! :jumping3:

Great way to start the week. I love the way you are looking at the commitments for yourself. I just got off the TM and have had 3 glasses of water so far today. We are going in the right direction. Keep up the great work!

Hi all!

I did very good last week. The water was my biggest struggle and some days were better than others. I was OP all week and got all my workout's in (even if I had to do Friday's on Sunday).

This week my commitments are:

1. Stay OP
2. Drink 6-8 glasses of water
3. Stop eating by 7pm
4. Go to bed by 10pm
5. Have 3 servings of dairy per day
6. Have 6 servings of veggies per day
7. Exercise-M/short walk-run T/Crosstraining W/rest T/short walk-run F/Crosstraining S/Long walk-run S/rest

Great job everyone for a terrific week last week! :cheer2: :cheer2:

First, I have to tell you all that I went totally off program yesterday and enjoyed myself, but back in the back of my head I head that little Jiminy Cricket conscience reminding me that I'd have to fess up today.

We went to Disney on Ice & really enjoyed the show (the 100 years of magic) but went out to eat on the way home & I blew it with too much fatty food & too many calories.

However, I got right back to the gym this morning and know that no matter how good it tasted, I still felt too full afterwards and will remember that. This week I plan on:
 • Stay OP as far as eating, low calorie, low fat food
 • Exercise regularily-5-6 times per week
 • Drink at least 64 oz water each day
 • No eating after 7pm (except for Fri movie night)
 • Get to bed early & aim for 7 hours of rest
Sounds like you guys are off to a great start this week, Melanie that is a good list, I envy you for striving for more dairy & veggies, that is hard for me too and I'll try to add that to my list in the future.

Chimera-next way of looking at your goals, I like the topics!

Tammy-great job with the TM & the h20 already!

Alright--I did terrible in the exercise department last week, but did good with drinking water and no regular coke.

This weeks goals

1) More water
2) Exercise EVERY DAY
3) Stick to SouthBeach friendly foods all week, for every meal. NO CHEATING!!
4) No regular Coke-can you tell I really, really like real Coke.

I work tonight-at the gym--I will get on a treadmill for at least 30 mins.

Christy

I am jumping on the challenge, but plan on keeping these reachable for me. Here are my goals for this week:

Stick on Atkins induction
Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day
Walk 3 times this next week

So glad to see how well you all are doing.

I think that is so important to not make your goals unreachable. I used to be really bad at making a long term goal, not reaching it and getting discouraged. I am now making my short term goals reachable, then it feels good to accomplish something and then it motivates me to keep going.

Good work everyone, lets keep the PD coming. :wizard:

I look at the commitments as something I want to strive for, but unfortunately I don't always do them 100%. Sometimes it's hard to get all your veggies, or other days get all your dairy when your trying to do it on a limited caloric intake!! Thank goodness for flexpoints and activty points!

:wave2: hi friends

well i will fess up to that i didn't stay on plan that great over the weekend. annieT issued me a nasty snack challenge starting today so I kept thinking i had to eat all my snacks sat-sun; bad me!

soooo -- back to my committments for this week:

eat within my WW pts and journal everyday including Saturday and Sunday!
exercise 5 times
drink my water

I did a 2 mile WATP this morning so i'm 1/5 for my exercise. still have 5-7 pts left for dinner so i'm doing ok for now :) having a meeting at my house tonight and will serve cookies, but i'll make a pot of decaff for me

OK, I am in.....

More water is a definate must....so to keep it real...for every diet pop, I have to drink a bottle of water first!!!

Exercise 5 days a week and rest 2! This weeks exercise being WATP 2 mile at least 3 times this week. Sunday, strive for 3 miles.

Work on more protien and less fat....head more toward SBD than Atkins.

I think that will be a good start for me!!! Hope everybody finds some successes in the week ahead!!

count me in

this week i'm committed to:

1) 48 ounces of water a day
2) track everything i eat this week on fitday.com
3) max calories 1300. :earseek:
4) 45 minutes on treadmill everyday
5) weight train 3x this week
6) will not weigh myseld till sunday

Alright, here goes for week two...

After being so sick, and still being pretty sick, I need to keep my goals in line...

1. Drink my water.
2. Stick to my breakfast and lunch plans
3. Portion control on whatever dinner is
4. Exercise as many days as I can (I tucker out easily these days)
5. BEHAVE AT THIS WEEKEND'S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION BASH! I'm heading to Illinois, and I have got to be careful!
6. Post on here daily until I leave on Friday

And one little goal:

Keep at least half of the sick weight lost OFF! (Can I do it?! I hope so!) We'll see how much that even is, because I think it was a nice little "chunk." (It was 3 pounds for the first two days I was sick... And I think the trend continued somewhat)

Ashley :cool1:

I have a committment for this week.
Since my jogging will probably be on hold for several days due to snow-packed icy streets and 6-10 foot snow drifts, I think this is the perfect time to restart my regular strength training routine. I have about 12 weeks until my Disney trip and I really want to get my muscles toned again and my upper body strength back. By 12 weeks my metabolism should be kicked up a notch too, which will help me with these last few pounds!

So my goal is to strength train three times this week with my free weights as well as a few girlie pushups and a little ab work.

:sunny:

:wave2:

Here I am! I had a good week last week, and this week, I'm going to keep the same goals and s-t-r-e-t-c-h myself a bit. This week I will try hard to:
 • record foods daily on Fitday :tilt:
 • drink 6-8 glasses of water every day at school :drinking1
 • keep my lesson plans in order in advance of the lessons :3dglasses
 • get to Curves at least TWICE this week :goodvibes and I am adding
 • no eating after 9:30 p.m. (this one might be the killer! :rolleyes1 )

Water went well today, and I'm ahead of running off the work for the lessons :) Didn't get to Curves but I have my stuff laid out for tomorrow after school.

I can do this, and reporting to this thread will help! :cheer2:

I'm committed to:

a. write down everything I eat this week
b. continue to eat healthy
c. no eating after 8 pm
d. lose 5lbs in three weeks
e. workout five times this week
f. get in the bed by 10pm
g. stay within my 1,200 calories allowance per day
h. staying off of the scale
i. staying committed and discipline.

And my long term committment is to get to 135lbs by August 5th. I'm 5'9 and weigh 150lbs. 135 was my pre-pregnacy weight before DS was born a year ago, I got up to 180lbs while pregnant and the weight is sslloowwllyy falling off.

Kim

I really like Kimickey's comittment!! I second that!!

Have a magical Disney Day!

I didn't do as well as I would have liked to last week. So this week I want to:

1. Drink all my water.
2. Stay op.
3. Exercise for 10 minutes more per day.
4. No snacking after dinner.
5. No eating after 8 p.m.
6. Early nights.

Good Morning to All

After what I thought was a good 2 weeks I got on the scale this morning and found that I gained 2 pounds!!  I give up!!

I am going to take my doctor's advice and join WW.....online. Won't be able to make it to the meetings at all.

So I guess I need your support :grouphug: and start over AGAIN.......I seem to have been doing this alot in the last few months but this has to be it!!

Thanks for your ongoing support - sending you all :love2:

So my only commitment is to STAY COMMITTED!! :Pinkbounc :jumping2: :Pinkbounc

Please hang with me..............

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earboy2:

chrissmiss, I hope that things start going in the right direction for you, I'm sure your hard work will pay off soon! :cheer2:

LittleMissMickey-glad you are feeling better!

I did good yesterday, stayed OP, didn't drink as much water as I wanted, but was really good about pretty much everything else.

Saw the doctor and wouldn't let the nurse let me know how much I weighed since I am trying to only weigh myself on Sat, ! :) Unfortunately he is thinking I have diabetes, so hoping for some pixie dust that I don't!
