We've booked June 21-28 and are anxiously waiting for June hrs to be posted. In the meantime I've haunted this board and also gone over the menus and read coments on the food and experiences. We have DH, myself DS8 and DD6. DS would live on peanut butter if I let him. Hates all sauces or food mixed together. He's really a meat and raw veggie kind of kid. DD is a little more adventurous. Does like food other than chicken nuggets, although is particularly fond of pizza, mac and cheese etc., which I see is available on most kids menus. DH and I are both fairly open as far as food choices go although he does tend to try more than I do. I am trying to get a bit of variety in choosing places unlike what we ordinarily get at home as well as have some fun experiences and atmosphere.

For our table service choices I have settled so far at...
Akershus Princess breakfast - dd faves are Ariel and Jasmin and I think this is the only possible place Ariel might be other than her grotto.
Chef Mickey breakfast
Boma dinner
Whispering Canyon dinner
Fantasmic/Mama Melrose dinner
Garden Grill dinner
Tony's Town Square - either lunch or dinner

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great - we've never eaten at any of these. Our last trip was 15 years ago and only for two nights.

I think it looks ok.Ariel is not usually at breakfast. She can be.But mostly she is at Lunch and Dinner. When I went in Sept it was Belle in the lobby, Jasmin,Aurora,Snow White, and Mulan. My neighbor went in Dec and had the same as me.

We got lucky and had Ariel at our breakfast at Akersus. I was totally surprised, as I knew that she normally isn't there. We did the breakfast vs. lunch/dinner because I was a little nervous about the lunch/dinner food. Breakfast was really good btw.

I would perhaps change Tony's as you will already have had an Italian meal at Mama Melrose's...assuming you are planning on being at MK that day perhaps Crystal Palace? They have good food for a buffet and all the Pooh characters...my girls were 14 last time and they really liked it....

Thanks for the suggestions. RMalien, good to know Ariel is less likely to be at breakfast. I have told DD that she probably won't get to see her at the meal but will see her at her grotto. I'm also nervous about the food in Norway other than breakfast, adventure woman. I figure how bad can bacon and eggs be? Thanks for mentioning Crystal Palace, Maggie. I'll go have a look at the menu. Although we do love Italian, we have a good Italian restaurant at home that we go to somewhat regularly.

You mentioned being nervous about the foor at Norway for lunch or dinner but I also saw you have Boma for dinner. Just want to make sure you know Boma food foor dinner is not traditional american fare either. I know a lot of people love it but if you are not that adventurous it may not be for you.

Thanks Michelle & Aaron. Having looked at the menus for both Boma and Norway, there was not much I was overly interested in at Norway, but there were quite a few things I either liked or would like to try at Boma. DH is very adventurous food-wise. I also thought that Boma was buffet style so probably more choice and that Norway was family style so maybe not as much selection. Maybe I'm wrong on the service style, but the choices seemed more limited on the menus listed at Norway for lunch and dinner.
