I actually have 2 plans to choose from. :confused3 However, I’d love to hear your opinions and suggestions. :goodvibes Keep in mind that we are DVC members and go annually. However, this trip DD is bringing a friend that has never been to WDW before. We’re trying to NOT go commando but still want to maximize what we see (for DD's friend). Most of the park/day choices are based on touringplans.com crowd predictors. The only one we are ignoring is the 1st day – 10/8 where they say to avoid MK. We’re staying at BCV this time. All Free Days listed will give us the option to go to TL, DTD, or any other park (namely Epcot since we can walk there), or hang out at SAB.

Plan 1
10/8
Arrive MCO 11:30 am
After check-in, head to MK
Late lunch/Early dinner at CRT
Dessert Party

10/9 – Free day
Breakfast – In room
Dinner – Cape May Clam Bake

10/10
Breakfast – In room
AK
Dinner at 7:15 at HDDR
Haunted Hayride at FW afterwards

10/11 – Free Day
Breakfast - Cape May
Go to MNSSHP (this will let us get into our costumes then go to the park)

10/12
Breakfast – In room
DHS
Lunch or Dinner – SciFi (DD’s pick)

10/13 – Free Day
Maybe go to MK
Dinner – Ohana

10/14
Epcot
F&W
Lunch/Dinner – Le Cellier

10/15
Depart for airport at 10:30 am

Plan 2
Same as plan 1 except:

10/11 – Free Day
Breakfast - In room
Maybe go to MK
Dinner – Ohana

10/13 – Free Day
Breakfast – Cape May
MNSSHP

Comments/thoughts/suggestions? Thanks everyone! :worship:

Based on my quick look at your schedule it appears that plan 1 and plan 2 only swap the events of the 11th and 13th. Given that (and the fact that you won't have overlapping ADRs), I'd go ahead and try to get the ADRs for both plans (breakfast at Cape May and dinner at Ohana) and then wait and see what the weather is like for those two days. MNSSHP is best when the weather is good (if it's been raining or may rain, the Headless Horseman does not ride). If the weather on the 11th is good, then go to MNSSHP and if the weather is bad, wait and hope it clears up for the 13th.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't think about doing that.

I also wasn't sure about doing MNSSHP then getting up the next morning to do DHS or Epcot (depending on which night we go). Also, I know everyone says to avoid Epcot on weekends during F&W, but wasn't sure if that included Friday - during the day. I know nighttime will get crazy. Would I be better off doing Epcot on Thursday and moving Thursday's plan to Friday? :confused3

Have you gone to MNSSHP before? It's one of my favorite activities at WDW (along with F&W), so I would definitely plan to go at least once.

I know that Sat and Sun are worse for F&W, but Friday day probably won't be too bad. It also depends on if you're planning to go to F&W or just ride the rides at Epcot. When I was there last time (two years ago), I remember seeing more people in the evening at F&W on Friday than Thursday, but lunch time wasn't so bad. And unlike others who say that people are drunk all the time on Sat & Sun, I saw people who were buzzed and probably talking louder than normal, but not groups of people who were drunk.

We've gone to MNSSHP before but that was in 2003. We definitely will be going again this year. I guess my concern was the plan for the next day - not necessarily to skip the party. I think I'm now leaning more towards going to the party Tuesday night. That way, if we're really tired the next day, we'll have another day after to recover before flying home. I do like your idea of being flexible and deciding when we get there (or see the forecast before we go) before deciding which party to go to.

I'm glad to hear Friday during the day isn't bad at Epcot for F&W. This is our first time to F&W so I have no idea what to expect. We do want to go on some rides (Soarin', Mission Space, and The Land). Not huge fans of Test Track. Hopefully, we can do the rides before WS opens at 11, then spend some time walking around WS. We do hope to get to Epcot earlier in the week on one of our free days, or at night - perhaps after the ClamBake Sunday night. Although - that's Columbus Day weekend so Sunday night will be CRAZY! :scared1: Or maybe Wednesday night after DHS. I don't see us being there all day until closing at 7pm. :upsidedow

I really wish we didn't have to make ADRs to get into the good TS restaurants especially 6 months out. It's too stressful!!! :headache:
