Definitely go to Sunshine Seasons. Although we have never eaten at Electric Umbrella, it often gets horrible reviews here on the Dis!

And Sunshine Seasons will have more variety ... something for everyone!

Well, looking at the Allears menu, I would love to see either the Roasted Pork Banh Mi Style Panini or the Togarashi Seared Tuna Noodle Salad! And of course pics of the wonderful dessert cases!

And speaking of Paula, we were texting back and forth as she was finishing up her dinner tonight at Via Napoli. We were discussing some of the other flavors available at the new French ice cream shop.


So Paula, being the excellent live reporter that she is headed to France...

We even have a few dining surprises...like maybe a private dining experience during Wishes at the GF...

Now switching gears back to yesterday's updates and our live reporter, Nicole (AvasMommy526).


Nicole said, "I have an update from Epcot! My parents took Ava for the day and we are running around like honeymooners. We shared a donut and cappuccino [no pic] from the coffee bar down in the contemporary while I waited for some information from concierge on a bracelet I'm looking for! When we got to Epcot we grabbed fastpasses for Soarin' and were going to over to Electric Umbrella but it was packed so we headed into World Showcase! We went through Canada and into the UK to get some fish 'n chips! A storm was coming so we decided to take a shot and see if we could get into Rose & Crown. He told us it would be only a 5-10 min wait, yay! When we got called (about 15 mins later) other people were trying to walk up but they weren't taking anyone because a lot of their seating is outside, so we got pretty lucky.
As soon as we were seated the rain started!"

"We ordered drinks and split the fish 'n chips and the cheese trio which was English cotswold with chive with pickle, a cheddar with some sweet glazed onions and a bleu with glazed walnuts and cranberries!"



















"Truthfully, it was probably the best fried fish we have ever had! I've been to England and I think this was better! It was so light and flaky, perfect! The cheeses were delicious too!




And then Nicole sent us a couple of adult beverage updates from World Showcase...


She said, "Right when we were done, so was the rain so we got some drinks around the world! First stop, China!

"Then France to get my long awaited Grey Goose Slushie, I went for the regular with cranberry and Jeff got the Grand Marnier one! We both loved them!! I could have drank a couple more but we had dinner coming up."

Our last update received yesterday was a surprise one from someone who was supposed to arrive at Disney World yesterday but had to cancel their trip.


It was Dee Dee (buzz1121) and she sent us her final meal update from her trip in April.


She and her family ended their trip with breakfast at the Polynesian's...







"DS and DD had a Mickey waffle, and for the first time DS forgot about the pictures so his waffle is missing an ear."













"DH and I had Tonga Toast. While Capt. Cook's does not have the strawberry compote that Kona Cafe serves, they do have a strawberry sauce that can be used as a decent substitute. This breakfast was a great, yummy final meal for our trip."












"A bonus shot is of the special edition Earth Day worm tart. Raspberries were used on top in the shape of a worm."

She and Jeff had dinner last night at Epcot's...














"We were seated 10 mins early. I know some people think the restaurant is too dark but I actually really like the lighting and we got a little 2 top not close to other diners. When we were handed our menus, I was surprised that they were lit, similar to a kindle, I guess I never read that in all my research Very cool!"
















"We started with the bread, we asked for extra pretzel because I knew its the best! My family actually makes authentic German pretzel rolls at our bakery, I thought the ones here were pretty good!"

"I ordered the "Waterkist" heirloom tomato app and Jeff got the soup. He LOVED the soup, he's been so happy with all my recommendations this trip, I thought it was delicious. I love the tomato salad as well, I love a caprese or similar salad so this was great for me! I also ordered the recommended wine with the filet, it was perfect for me, I loved it!"

"For entrees I chose the Le Cellier filet. Obviously I have been reading about this for quite a while and honestly it lived up to my expectations! It was one the best steaks I've ever had, it was perfectly cooked and tender. I loved the mushroom risotto and pearl onions and the truffle butter, OMG amazing! I'm so glad I got to try this! "

"Jeff got the Eros tea as a little pick me up! He really liked it and we both loved the mousse, very fun and delicious! I could actually go for more of that! I didn't realize it was only available on the kids menu!!"







"Everything was awesome! There was an older couple next to us who come 4 times a year and they were telling me I was lucky to get in here, usually it's a 3-6 month wait and I laughed..obviously they aren't DISers who wake up at 6 am Thanksgiving morning to make their dining choices for Disney 6 months later."


"We ran to use our Soarin' FPs and then headed to DHS so I could see Fantasmic this trip! It was a great day and great food!"

So many amazing updates today. I'm so happy that Nicole had a great meal at Boma and that they did something special for Ava's birthday! Wizarding World always sounds like so much fun - I need to make a diversion to Uni to check it out sometime. Leelee and Paula's ice cream updates - wow. And finally, it's so nice to see Nicole and Jeff had a positive experience at Le Cellier. Everything, especially the tomato salad, looks great to me.

Instead of eating the cold boxed lunch that was served today at the conference which Paula (smile4stamps) is attending at the Swan (review of her conference food will be posted at the conclusion of her conference tomorrow), she decided to go next door to the Boardwalk, in hopes of having a quick (but better) lunch at...

"The decor seems kinda outdated and blah to me. I'm in a back dining area, so not a lot to see."

"I only ordered the Big Brew Cheeseburger with Bacon. She asked what temperature I'd like it with Medium being the lowest. So I ordered Medium and said I only had a short break. It took about 15 minutes to receive. Probably the longest wait of the week, and when I am in a hurry. So my burger came...immediately she asked how it was. I was like.. I just got it, haven't tried it yet."

"I went to add the mayo to my bun and was disappointed to see this..."





"Even at home I toast my buns!! But I put my ketchup and mayo on and cut the burger in half... To see not a speck of pink. But it was juicy so I would deal with it. She came back to ask how it was. I said fine. Not like I had time to have them recook it!! So I devoured my burger in record time. It was okay. I'm sure it's on par with a CS burger though (I haven't tried one of those!). Definitely a been there done that place."

"My mom and I shared the Pot Roast and Colony salad!"




1/2 share of the New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables






1/2 share of the Colony Salad with Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar, dried cranberry Craisins, and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette


"It came out already split for us! The salad was great, nice and light! The pot roast was absolutely delicious, I have read so much about it and my mom and I were both very pleased with it. Very tasty!"




"For dessert, we had the Gooey Toffee cake, oh was this good!"

"Just what I hoped, they brought Ava out ice cream and all clapped and sang for her....she cried!!! Poor kid, but she loved her ice cream!"










"I did have one problem here. I don't like complaining or being negative, especially if it's truly a mistake that was corrected. When I was almost finished with my pot roast, I bit into something really hard and at first I thought it was a burnt piece from a tray or something but it was plastic. I got the waiters attention and they got the kitchen manager (who btw is from our town) and she was so apologetic and told me it was a piece of ladle. They comped that part of the meal. I feel bad, accidents happen and I don't want to give the place a bad review because other than that it was awesome."





"We also stopped a little later for a dole whip pineapple float with vanilla/pineapple swirl. Yummy as usual!"
