First off...this will be our first visit staying on-site. :cool1:

Second, I'm already overwhelmed!!!

DH and I will be coming from Phoenix and DMIL and FIL will be coming from Denver- Most likely at different times too. We're trying to get a flight that will come in around 4 or 5 at the latest, and I know they want to arrive before nighttime as well (why are the prices so high :headache:). It will be Friday, May 21.

How will DME work with all of this? Would DH and I be better off renting a car and letting MIL and FIL have the convenience of DME?

You can split up the vouchers and baggage tags in the booklet to send some of them to DFIL and DMIL. But make a photocopy of the booklet itself and the room reservations papers to send.

You don't have to be on the same flight. I've had a friend arrive 3 days after me and use DME. All they need is a voucher with their name, the flight info for arrival really doesn't matter, they assign a bus when you arrive at the airport desk.

Not a problem at all. I'm assuming that the inlaws are on your reservation. If so....then whoever (I'm going to assume you) booked the reservation will get the DME info packet, with the vouchers and luggage tags in it. You can take out the 2 luggage tags for your inlaws (each person gets one) and take out the vouchers for them as well...they should just rip out. Then, send those things along to them. That way, they can attach the tags to their bags, and not have to worry about them until the bags get to the resort. And they will have the vouchers in hand upon checkin at the DME counter.
They can always just get their own bags from baggag claim if they choose to...just don't send them the tags. And they can give the resort info to the DME CM at the counter if they don't have the vouchers in hand...they can bring them up in the computer and give them vouchers right then.
Then, they can bring the bags to the bus with them and it will be loaded underneath the bus they are riding on.

You don't all need to arrive at the same time in order to use DME. No need to rent a car unless you really want to.
