Coming from the Great White North in August, what are we thinking? We're back!

Tell mini montana not to feel so bad about her sweater. I still do that with some of mine and I'.. well let's just say I'm alot older. No need for real numbers.

IMO rope drop and opening are pretty darn close to being the same thing. I'm happy if we make it to the park in the first 10 minutes it's open.

Sorry about BTMR. Hopefully she got to ride on it later.

We did the Wonderland Tea party too. I'm interested to hear your kids take on it.

Oh please don't feel hurt that I didn't ask about your modeling. I just figured you were already into it and hadn't shared it with us for some personal reason. Yeah, that's the ticket. Because, you, uh... well, because something... uh, you just didn't want to share it with us. Yeah, that's the ticket. And just why is that anyway? I thought we were your friends? And here you go and get into modeling and don't share it with us and don't tell us and what were you thinking and ... harummph!

And yes, the kit is for my scrapbooking. Wish I could share it here but because it's commercial they'll slap me on the hand again ;-(

I know exactly what you mean about rudeness and stupid parents. The scary part is that everyone DOES act better at Disney so just imagine how they act at home. Don't have to imagine... Peg just painted the image for us.

Regarding rope drop -- you know how when you have a really good drink you try to get every last drop? That's what being up for rope drop is like... I wanna be able to enjoy every last moment in the park. Besides, I'm usually up at 4 anyway, so rope drop ain't nothing! :rotfl2:

MM did a great job of getting herself dressed!

LOL at you trying to figure out what your kids are scared of! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: What, need more ammunition?

Great pic of buzz entrance! Just perfectly framed and everything!!!!

Another great closeup of miniMontana! Do love all the water droplets and everything. Great photo!

Can you send me those pics you took of BTTMR and all while in line? Those are GREAT!!

Sorry to hear about miniMontana being so upset about BTTMR. Hope she got to ride it later. Now, as a parent I know exactly where you were coming from and I would have done the same thing. But, as miniMontana's buddy all I can say is how DARE you! That baby can do no wrong! You know you should have just stood right in line again!!! LOL

Gotta run... am at work. Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. I do so look forward to your installments.

She doesn't do it too often but I believe she had stayed in Queen's room the night before and we all thought it was so cute.

Glad to hear you agree. Well we were there for 2 wks so I'm pretty sure she got to go on again as I recall.

Tea Party is coming up next.

Thanks for taking the time to comment while at work. Wouldn't want you to get in trouble:scared1: I'm so glad you clued into my side job of modeling:laughing: Good answer:worship:

Good luck with your scrapping kits:yay: I think I still owe you an EPCOT picture. I haven't forgotten:rolleyes1

Stupid people.....yeah they were bad:sad2:

More ammunition for my kids, yeah, you're on to me. I lie awake at night trying to think up more things to do to them. Did I already mention how afraid Jasmine is of the Michael Myers character from the Halloween movies? We had our neighbor come to our back patio doors dressed up on Halloween and he scared the ....well you know what, out of her:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Mini Montana not doing anything wrong, you are funny.

Great update Peg. Your pics are great. I can't wait to hear about the tea party. I wish I could get my DD to go it. Last trip I couldn't even get her to consider breakfast in the Castle. So the tea party is definitely out. As least I have her considering the castle for our next trip. I used the it's your grandmother's first trip to the world card. Quilt can sometimes work to your advantage.:thumbsup2

Guilt, It's a mother's friend really....unless of course, your own mother is using it on you, then it's not so great:rotfl2: You didn't say why she didn't want to go to the castle, afraid of the dungeon, or dragons:scared1: I'm off to a Pampered Chef party tonight so maybe I'll get an update up a little later.

So when I last left you we were heading to the Wonderland Tea Party.

We headed over to the monorail station and Queen and Jasmine had gone for lunch themselves and headed back to the hotel. They did not want to go to the GF. We got to the Grand Floridian close to an hour before we needed to be there but we didn’t want to be late and being with a 4 yr old who may need to dilly dally or need a bathroom break at any time early is better than late.

The girls sat themselves in front of one of the T.V.’s in the lobby that were showing Mickey cartoons. I loved the areas, they had kid sized couch and table and chairs. They thought it was pretty fun. Dh and I absorbed the atmosphere of the lobby. I went around and took pictures of all the flower arrangements on the main floor. They were stunning and went from small arrangements to massive sized ones. You could smell the flowers everywhere on the main floor. I also went to the gift shop and picked up some tea party pins for the girls as a surprise. I ogled the tea room where grownups can have tea. I also scoped out the 1900 Park Fare menu for dinner for when we would be there next week. After a trip to the bathroom for the girls we checked them in. They open the doors for the children and let them go in. The parents are allowed in for a moment to see where they will be and they the kids wave good bye and the parents are asked to leave. The table was decorated so nicely with tea pots for each child and a cupcake with icing and sprinkles to be applied by your child. They had some plush White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts on the table and lots of Mickey confetti. The kids were really excited and couldn’t wait until we left.

I really do teach my children proper manners:scared1: I blame it on the heat:)

Supper just arrived so I'll continue this post later.

Finally all caught up Peg. Wow, the things you miss when you are away for a few days. Are you guys shovelling out at all these days? We are a bit, but not that badly!

I love the picture of DD4 with the water drops on and big smile. What a cutie.

Did they enjoy the tea party?

My daughter Emily doesn't want to have breakfast at the castle because she doesn't like the princesses. The only one that she will even admit to liking slightly is Jasmine. I actually like Cinderalla, which is why I'm using the quilt thing. If I said it was me who wanted to go, I would get the attitude but she'll do it for Grandma. Quilt, gotta love it.:lmao:

I probably shouldn't say we haven't had snow for a little while because then for sure we'll get some. It was -19 this morning:scared1: :cold: Thank goodness for heated seats:thumbsup2 They did have fun at the tea party. It's coming up next.

She doesn't like princesses:confused3 I have a feeling you've told me this before so I apologize for not remembering:worship: Thank goodness for Grandma:banana: To heck with what Emily wants:rolleyes1 isn't it what you want:yay:

Ok I'm back, I spent too much at the party but had a great time:)
Now here are some of the pictures I was talking about.

Dh and I went to Gasparilla’s for lunch. I had the chicken Caesar salad and it was quite large and pretty good. It was a beautiful day that day, not a cloud in the sky. We enjoyed our lunch with a few little sparrows in the lunch area. I was surprised at how small Gasparilla’s was compared to the size of GF. After lunch we went and explored the resort outside and took more pictures and wondered how the children were managing without us.

We went back to pick them up and when we were allowed back in all the children were sleeping! Can you speak? Are these people miracle workers or what? Can they come to my house? Of course it was all an act and the kids had a really fun time surprising us by waking up all together. The girls said they had a really great time, they played hide and seek with Alice and The Mad Hatter and got to eat dessert first! Now really, how can you not have fun? They each brought home a lovely poesy bouquet that lasted the better part of the week.

Surprise!

The tea party was an hour, we picked them up by 2:30 and were back at our resort by 3:20. That day there was 13 ducks hanging around the bus stop with us. The kids had a great time waiting for the bus with them. They would waddle away if you walked toward them but if you just stood still they would come right up to you. It sure passed the time waiting endlessly for the bus.

Do you think I took enough pictures of the ducks?

I had a terrible headache that just would not go away and I thought perhaps if I slept it would go away. I slept for an hour but that headache was still there. I’m pretty sure I woke up grumpy, I hate not feeling good on holiday. I of course wrote nothing like that down but I’m pretty sure dh would vouch for the Grumpy quotient!

We were off to Tutto Italia for dinner tonight.

My Disney Princess is never Grumpy!!:lovestruc

My Disney Princess is never Grumpy!!

How sweet of your DH!

We had a very similar experience when we did the Wonderland Tea party too. Only Dh and I didn't eat. We just drank at the pool side bar you took a picture of. But, I also oogled the tea room. I think next time we might try it.

I notice your DD's were at the end of the table. I put mine there too and they ended up sitting beside the Mad Hatter. They were really hoping for Alice!

I had full intentions of posting pictures with this update but for some reason photobucket is having issues:confused3 Anyway here is the update and pictures will follow tomorrow if I can get them to work.

Queen and Jasmine had dined here before but it was new for our family. The restaurant is lovely and was packed. We pretty much arrived for our ADR at it's time so we were seated right away. We had an amazing waiter. His name was Nam-Hai and his brother Nam- something else also worked there. He was amazing, so pleasant and efficient! I was amazed at the amount of buttons on his uniform that showed what languages he spoke. They included Italian, Spanish, English, Mandarin, and Korean I believe or it could have been French. I was amazed. The food here is soooooooooooooo good! I had spaghetti and meatballs as did Queen, dh and Jasmine had lasagne, dd8 had penne alfredo and dd4 had pizza. The kids also had mozzarella sticks. The meatballs had an amazing flavour and the sauce was fabulous. I had zabaglione for dessert with strawberries. It was pretty good too. All through dinner Jasmine was noticing all the cute young Italian boys working here and had her camera flashing left and right. She practically blinded several of them trying to get great pictures! We had so much fun trying to get the pictures pretending we were taking pictures of the restaurant. We told her she needs to consider coming to work at Disney.
After dinner was done, unfortunately, I still had my headache and decide to skip Illuminations..................I know, sacrilege for those diehard Illuminations fans! Dd8 decided to come back to the resort with me. I think she was tired too. It took us 20 minutes to walk from Italy to the buses. We had to wait and wait for a bus and heard most of Illuminations. The bus finally came and we were back to the resort. The rest of our crew returned 10 minutes after we did and they had stayed for the show, so I’m thinking I should have just stayed for Illuminations. Just a note for people staying for Illuminations, when we came out of Italy there were hardly any people standing around waiting for the show and as we rounded World Showcase the closer we got to the entrance of it the more people we encountered. So think about that if you’re having dinner and end around Illuminations start time. Book Italy or surrounding area restaurants and you can just walk out and have a great viewing spot.

Up next a bit of a rest day and dinner at Whispering Canyon.

-19!!!!!! Good Lawd!!!! I didn't know they made temperatures that low!!! How on God's green earth do you survive something like that? Don't body parts start freezing off and stuff!?!?

You ain't kidding about those flower arrangements. Those are beautiful!

Love how you mention it's a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky and then the picture 2 lines under that has clouds in it.
/me ducking and running

Great photos of the GF, though! And of the Poly... great zoom on that camera!!!

Never enough pics of the Disney ducks. They're almost an attraction of their own.

Way to go, Geodoc! Earn those hubby points now in case they're needed later, right?

Just love the irony of you having a headache but the next day is Whispering Canyon. What is that, foreshadowing? Can't wait to hear your WC report, though. Haven't been there yet but hope to go at some point.

I've never been there either but I have done WC. We loved it. As I recall the waiters weren't "hot" there so I predict that Jasmine puts down the camera at this restaurant.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: you are just what I needed today. I had to go to my neighbor's memorial service yesterday. 54, lung cancer, very sad.:sad2:
then last night I received an email, and again this morning from this company who did work on our house that didn't work and they are saying it's not their problem:headache: I'm having a rough day.:sad2:

Anyway, nevermind -19, they don't let the kids stay in school for recess and lunch break until it's past -27C:scared1: We're hardy souls here. That's why the heat kills me.

Thanks for pointing out the clouds. I noticed that too after I posted. I must have been on another planet:scared1:

Whispering Canyon...yeah not great when your headache is still not gone but that is for another day.

Thanks for cheering me up:thumbsup2
