So had my follow up on my hand today....can you believe it....still broken He squeezed it again and I said well it doesn't hurt if you don't do that He told me to continue to be careful cause I told him, there is no way I'm wearing a cast in WDW

Took 3 pairs of shorts that I love to be altered today, to have them altered is more than I paid for them, but I love them and don't have time to shop nowwho am I kidding, always time to shop, but I'd rather spend my money in WDW.

Stopped in at Wal-mart, needed polysporin, kleenex and dish soap. I do believe other than my memory card for the camera, I am all done shopping I went over my list twice today and I'm pretty sure we're good to go. I will take some pictures tomorrow of the suitcases on the bed...then it seems real to me.

On a very sad note, my BFF, Brenda lost her mom today. She called last night to tell me it wasn't going to be long and she passed away at 330 this afternoon. As long as she's not suffering anymore....but so sad.

We went to the beach today and actually had a 31 degree C day here. I think it's our first for the summerThat is so sad. We are going to melt in Orlando, we have had no real hot days and only a couple of days with moderate humidity. Oh well, at least we'll get summer there, unless there is a repeat of last year with a tropical storm Lets not go down that road. Even with two applications of sunscreen Snow White got a bit burnt and Mini Montana just got browner. Mini Montana has Geodoc's skin and Snow Has mine....burns just thinking about the sun

Holy hannah, it's been steamin' hot here! I think today's high was 31C - when hardly anyone even has home air-conditioning, that is STINKIN' hot! According to our thermometer, it is currently 32C in our house

I'm sorry that Snow White got a sunburn - no fun!

So Queen's friend is coming to help me start packing tomorrow. Apparently I need the help according to Queen because of my back(chronic back pain that seems to be much worse these last 6 months). I think it's just her control issues

I pulled out 6 dresses for each girl and I have all the other things like some snacks, toiletries, extra hangers all ready. We'll see what we get done The girls think they're helping when they pull out all the things they want to take that we really don't need to take.

Oh yes, I'm familiar with that kind of "helping" It sounds like you have everything under control, not that I'm surprised!

Wish me luck tomorrow with Queen and her friend...I may have to hurt one or both of them if they aren't nice to me and try to take over

I thought about stopping at Best Buy after I dropped Jasmine off at work this afternoon....and that's all that happened....I thought about it and forgot about it until I was halfway home

I haven't had 2 minutes to take those pictures today, my girlfriend was in town from Edmonton on business so she called this morning and stayed until about 230....now I'm waiting for Brenda and Eric to pop in. I told Brenda I would come to her place today once they got home from making all the arrangements, but she said she needed a change of scenery, so they're on their way here. Thank you for your concern.....she is my very best friend and it's so hard when you have to see someone you care about suffer so

I've been following your weatherI used to live in Surrey a long time ago and worked at the Royal Columbian. I remember being shocked that no one had A/C but then I realized it was always cool at night. I'm guessing that's not happening this yearStay coolif you can.

Well I have sad news too to report...I have been following a blog about a little boy who had a wish trip that started on here. He's from a town near here. He was 3 years old and died yesterday
He was born with not much chance and defied the odds again and again. They had several close calls already this year and then they were in Sick Kids in Toronto for 42 days getting different things sorted out/surgeries done. They had just gotten home and had about a week at a cabin and had to take him to Children's and he just didn't respond to the treatments for two days. I was reading his blog yesterday and when I saw a post labelled "wings" my heart leapt into my throat He had such a cute smile.
Last year I followed a blog of a friend of a friend's little boy who had cancer and died when he was one year old.

It just brings all the important things in your life to the forefront.

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer but I was so sad and just didn't even feel like getting out of bed today and then thought "I have two beautiful girls, a fabulous husband, great parents and mother-in-law, wonderful neice, good friends and a sister who's a pain the a**aww but I love her" I can give my wonderful girls a big hug this morning and be happy I get to share my life with them and they sure do brighten up my life

I was getting really stressed about this trip and all I have left to do, which I don't believe is alot but we've been busy. Yesterday was eye doctor...I have finally relented and accepted the limitations of my age and ordered progressive lensesI used to make fun of people who needed longer arms to see
Today is dentist for the kids and we are doing swimming lessons every night.
The girls are doing really well in their lessons. Snow White is learning how to dive as part of this group of lessons too, last lessons it was knealing dives, now we've moved to standing dives. Queen would have a hoot watching her...that was something I never mastered (queen of the belly flop here) She is doing better than I did but it sure brings back memories

I've noticed we haven't posted many pictures here recently so I better get on the pictures of the tornado that is my living room right now with suitcases everywhere

First things first......single digit dance for Peg and family

Those last few aren't the greatest, these are the pictures that greet me every morning when I walk out of my bedroom, they are along the hallway wall and I love to look back. We have pics there from every year we've been, it's what helps me get up and go to work everyday

Not much else to report right now, I'm taking Mini Montana to her swimming lessons tonight, should be a hoot, have I mentioned I could just eat her up she's so darn cute.

Jasmine is starting to fret a little about the plane.....good lord it gets earlier every year, I swear We were out shopping the other day there and we didn't have time to go home and make anything before Jas had to go to work so we went out for lunch. We no sooner sat down and she said I don't have a good feeling about the plane this year (and this is different from any other year I'm thinging) but I say "Really, well let's talk about that" I tried to say it without sounding sarcastic, not sure if I pulled it off. I said "You were fine last year and she said well that's cause Auntie threaten me if I scared the girls (she does have a point there) she would hurt me

I guess my point is my last, what, 10 days is going to he H - E - double hockey sticks....I see it all now. I asked her if she thought sleeping the night before would help instead of staying awake all night and getting over tired....nope. Why do I try, nothing I say ever works so I'm saying nothing, just think of my next Monday morning at 6am CST as we're hurling down the runway....I guarantee you she'll be crying and I'll be saying, "Why don't they serve alcohol this early on a flight

That's so sad....I can't imagine what the parents must go through losing a child, scares me so much just thinking about it.....they will be in our prayers

Why am I the last person you mention when talking about important people in your life Nice comments for everyone but me, I just don't understand this, have I not always been a wonderful, thoughtful, caring, loving sister

You stress yourself out every year and every year it all comes together....RELAX....you know I'll help boss you....errr....get you organized if you need the help Brenda stopped in yesterday after they were at the funeral home and she said by next week she'll probably need some packing therapy, so don't stress too much. I didn't have the heart to tell her I have all my stuff done and ready to pack. If she wants to do it, I'll throw it into a pile and she can start fresh....what I don't do for people I love

8 days until we leave, I can't believe it! I dropped Jasmine off at work yesterday just before 10 and decided I would drive to Peg's end of town to pick up my shorts I had in for alterations. They were actually supposed to be ready on Fri evening but they had called and asked if I could pick them up on Saturday morning, yup no prob

So off I go, get there just before 10, go in, they can't find my shorts my heart was in my throat. I don't know about anywhere else in the country but finding summer stuff right now here is not easy, all the fall/winter stuff is in She calls the owner and he said, they won't be there until 1130am and that they told me that when they called Well, if they told me that, I wouldn't have been there at 10. Now normally, I would just have driven the 2 minutes to Peg's and had coffee with her, but she was working. Arghhhhh. I went across the way to some of the box stores and ended up finding Jasmine some black shorts she wanted, 2 tank tops (the way these kids layer you can never have too many tanks) then I went into Reitman's and found 4 really nice button up sleeveless shirts that were regular $36 on for 11.99..I also found a jean skort and jean capri's.

I headed home to put away all my purchases and to kill some more time until my shorts would be delivered to the store.....oh well, went back and at least they were there.

Jasmine works today at 2 and I have to drive right by Best Buy to get home, so I will stop and buy my new memory card today, then my shopping is complete!!!!

This week is going to be a little crazy....Tuesday I actually have nothing on, Wed I have a doctor's appt, then my BF mom's funeral, Thurs another doctors appt then take Jasmine to get her hair cut and hi-lighted, Friday pick Jasmine up from work and take her to get her manicure and pedicure then on Saturday morning my manicure and pedicure. Sunday will be stictly packing, everything is ironed and waiting so it's the last thing I will have to do.

Geez, makes me tired just thinking of everything. I will have to check in with Peg later today and see how her week is shaping up

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I do feel the same about y'all though. It's funny..... I was trying to explain to my mom while I was up there about how I'd made some really good friends that live in Canada. I told her y'all were coming down and how I was dying to go to WDW for lunch one day so I could meet you. (which, by the way, unless I win lotto I don't think I can do). Anyway... she knows that things are tight financially and wonders why y'all couldn't come here. I told her well, they are actually going the longer distance!!!!!!

I guess I should really hand it to mom though.... 86 years old and is on email and looking things up online. Although it did take forEHver for her to understand that she could check her email from down here.... it's not like it's sitting in a mailbox on her computer at the house. LOL

Okay, back to work for me... but I have missed y'all greatly too!!!!!

And I know what you mean by the predators. But as adults we know the safety rules... you know... meeting somewhere public and all that. Besides, with our grocery bills being what they have been over the past few months, I'd gladly give up one of the eating machines -- maybe even to a predator. Remember I had an heir and a spare for a reason!

Okay, I know I've been gone a while. And I know folks on the DIS post some really strange stuff (you should see the looks on people's faces when I take pictures of food at restaurants -- guess I'm just too attuned to the DIS). But pictures of toes? Is that a new thing? Maybe we should all post pictures of our toes? But only after one gets a pedicure? Oh, okay... then y'all are safe. I don't do pedicures (too expensive) and can't reach my toes anymore so y'all won't be seeing pics of them.

I am totally bummed too that you can't make it down, but if we look on the bright side, Peg and Geodoc are DVC owners so we KNOW there are future trips, I just have to convince them to take me again....I best be on my best behaviour this year or it may not happen.

I just know in my heart one year we will meet....do you think we could convince Peg to use their points for a girls only cruise????

Ventured over to Peg's last evening to pick up our Mickey Mail Jasmine and Thomas were out for cruise night (Thomas' older brother let him take his sooped up Cady) so off I went to pick up my own little piece of heaven, visited for a while, Mini Montana is still saying she's gonna sit with me on EE, and I'm doing my best to talk SW into doing RnRC, I'm trying the bribing factor, but still not working

I asked Snow if she changed her mind yet about staying in Winnipeg until the Monday and flying down with Jasmine and I....I got a resounding NO.....MM would do it in a heartbeat

Got home and just sat and stared at my mail When the kids got home I really wanted them to share in my joy....no....they just make fun of me I kept saying do you guys want to see the luggage tags...no, that's ok, we've seen them before....what is up with that???

Jasmine and Thomas both work this afternoon so I have high hopes of getting the final packing list of clothes completed. I think it will make it much easier now that everything is hanging and I have a visual of what goes with what...and there will be no one around to make snide comments.

Hope all our Canadian friends are enjoying their long weekend....we've had lousy weather but hey, you take what you get right? The summers seem so short here and in Manitoba they are usually amazingly hot and sunny, not so much this year.....that's why we're going to FLORIDA That, and the fact we're addicted to WDW.
