Coming Back after 2 years!! Has anything changed?

Hey! We are finally coming back after 2 years and we are so excited!! Has anything changed in 2 years? We are going to all 4 parks and a water park. Whick water park should we go to? We have been to River Country and Typhoon Lagoon. Although I heard River Country is closed. Is that true? We are also staying and the Poly. Has anything changed there? Just wondering!

Any info will help!!!!

There is a new Luau show at the Poly with some new show elements. And yes, River Country is closed and unfortunatly doesn't appear to be reopening any time soon.

As for other new things at WDW, there are a lot. Mission: Space, of course, is brand new at EPCOT. It's doing soft openings right now but it will officially open in a few months. There are also new parades at MK, MGM, and AK (all very good), a very nice exhibit on Walt Disney at MGM, a spectacular new show at the Castle Stage at MK called "Cinderella's Surprise Celebration", a new ride in the Imagination pavillion at EPCOT staring Figement, a new area of AK called Dino-Rama that has a pretty cute coaster called Primevial Whirl, plus the AK Lodge Resort (which is an attraction in itself), the new Toy Store at DTD, and maybe a few other things (seems like I'm forgeting something).

We just returned, also after a 2 year absence. The big change that I noticed was that the hours are greatly reduced. You can check this site, as well as the official WDW site for the hours when you are going.

Although River Country is shut down most of the time, it was open on July 4th, according to the schedule. If you are going on a holiday, it may be open again.

Thanks so much for the replies. They are so helpful. We are leaving on the 11 of August. What is the weather going to be like? Hot, Humid? Up on Long Island the summer has not been as hot as in the past, so I'm ready for the shock!!

Any more info would be great! Are there any rides or shows we should not miss?

We're also coming back after two years and here are some of the things I've found in my research (mostly thru the helpful folks here, without whom none of my first four trips would have been a success!) that have changed since our last trip, just post-9/11:

-Mission Space
-Early Entry (which was gone on our last trip) is now Extra Magic Hour, and the days for each of the parks are different than they were previously (for instance, MK is no longer M, Th, Sat, but instead is Sunday & Thursday, Animal Kingdom has two days as well, Epcot only has one)
-Priority Seating has changed (and is still changing)
-New Princess meals -- breakfast in Norway, dinner at 1900 Park Fare (replacing the Villians dinner), and possibly one other one.
-Dixie Landings is now Port Orleans, Riverside
-Pop Century has opened
-Animal Kingdom has a whole new section called Din-O-Rama
-Hunchback show is gone, don't know what it was replaced with
-Cinderella's Surprise Celebration (actually had started when we were there last -- it's a cute show done at the Castle Forecourt Stage a few times a day)
-Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride, also had opened when we were there last but was pretty new, think of it as Dumbo with squirt guns.

I didn't know about the Poly Luau (is it not-to-be-missed?) or the new toy store at DTD -- anything else?
Is the Tarzan show still playing at AK or has it been replaced as well?
