Hey everyone

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a comic book store in Orlando somewhere. I'm looking for somewhere close to or on I-drive, or at least somewhere easy to get too. I'm a bit of a geek, o.k alot of a geek, and I'd love to be able to wander around a proper comic book store and get all excited about the vast selection of spiderman comics.

All together now....

Spiderman, spiderman, does whatever a spider can....

Yarrrr!!!!!!! pirate:

That be great news me hearty. I thank ye for the assistance.

(I'm trying on my costume for MNSSHP so please excuse the pirate talk)

There used to ba an amazing Sci-Fi / Comic store on I drive, but im pretty sure its not there anymore...

As Ian said the one on I-Drive closed a couple of years ago. There is one on the 192 a short distance east of Orange Blossom Trail and one on OBT itself north of the Florida Mall junction - both very good last time I visited - plenty of back issues from 1960's onwards.

Back issues are exactly what I'm after. Missed the last issue of a series a few years back and havn't been able to find it anywhere. I've managed to get it as part of a graphic novel but it's not the same thing as having the actual issue

There's one on Central Florida Parkway, next to the publix store about half a mile from I Drive.

Go down I drive to the crossroads, (next to Seaworld), turn left and Publix is about half a mile on your right. The shop just has COMICS in big red letters above the door and is to the left of Publix as you drive onto the car park.

Full of Marvel, Sci-fi and Anime, but I can't tell you much else because I'm not a fan myself.

The one at IOA is great but it's the only one I've seen there

My sister picked up some manga in a few of the bookshops too, not sure if that's your thing though!

Hi Headzila,

If you don't manage to find what you want give me a PM (I don't think we are able to trade on these boards) and I will probably be able to help you, I have 1000's of back issues.

Have a great holiday,

Lol

OK Headzilla...confession time

My DH and I hit just about every comic book store in an 10 mile radius of WDW during our last trip.

As already posted there's Bad Apple Comics on OBT south, it's in the first stip mall you hit on the right when you turn right onto OBT from the 482. They do have a very good selection of back issues.

Next there's Colliseum of comics who have more than one outlet.

The main one is also on Orange Bloosom. If you turn left onto Orange Blossom from the 482 it's at least a mile, if not 2 up the road on the left hand side. They have an even better selection than BAC.

They have another outlet in Kissimmee. It's on the main road in Kissimme in what they laughlingly call the 'historic' area.

The others are not as good as these 3, tending to concentrate on the new comics we can get at home.

Let me know how you get on. We spent in excess of $500. A good tip for getting them home in one piece is to buy the small size comic boxes out there if you buy a lot of comics or bring them home in trainer boxes which also seem to be the perfect size.

Thanks for the great advice everyone, here's hoping I can finish some of my collections off. My local comic book store had the audacity to close half way through a couple of series I was collecting about 4 years ago (I mean come on, how inconsiderate is that) so fingers crossed I can get something sorted.
