Comfortable/Uncomfortable Beds

I get really sore these days if I sleep on a hard bed. When we stayed at Old Key West (studio) in November, it was like sleeping on a brick.

Has anyone with similar issues noticed any resorts that have soft, comforable beds? Any others with hard beds that I should avoid?

It's not as fun to tour the parks after a bad night's sleep.

Contemporary and BC have EXCELLENT beds. Nice pillowtops. Soft, but also firm. I get hip pain from sleeping on my side on hard beds. Did not happen to me at either of these two hotels.

Pop century is AWFUL. Actually, all the values are awful. Feels like sleeping on a firm trampoline with a sheet over it. HARD and BOUNCY! Ugh. I slept awful there.

Loved the beds at Caribbean Beach last year. We stayed in a recently renovated Nemo room.

I expected even better at the Polynesian this past February, but our mattresses were terribly uncomfortable, hard as a rock.

In my experience:

Best beds -- Grand Floridian RPC
Second best beds -- Dolphin

We've stayed at four resorts -- Contemporary, Poly, All Star Sports and the Coronado.

By far, the Coronado's new beds have been the most comfortable, followed by the Poly. We hated the beds at the All Star Sports and the bed we had at the Contemporary was very hard (this was, however, over 15 years ago and they have been replaced by now I would think)

I have stayed at all the mods, POP, AKL, and WL. I think of those Coronado Springs has the best bed. I just got back from a stay at AKL and couldn't believe how awful the beds were. They were very uncomfortable and squeaked like crazy.

We did a split stay last trip between POFQ and CR and I was amazed at how much more comfortable the beds were at CR. I would also recommend the beds at the Dolphin.

I've stayed at CBR and CSR. Although the CBR beds were very good, the CSR beds were even better. The pillows were also great.

My mom (who has a terrible back with many problems) said the beds at her room at POP was the most comfortable bed she's ever slept in. She went so far as to get the name of the mattress from the info in the room pamphlet to prder one for herself for her own bed.

We just stayed at CSR and thought the new beds were sooo comfy! I also thought the beds at WL were really comfy. The other resorts we stayed at were ok. The worst were CBR, but that was before the room renovations, so they should be better now.

I'm at OKW right now and the bed really isn't bad. It is firm with a pillow top. My bed at home is much nicer, but I've never found a bed quite as nice as my own bed anywhere I have stayed. I've slept like a rock for the six nights we been here so far.

The pillows are very similar to mine at home, too, just standard size instead of king sized.

The beds at BWI are amazing, want to get one for my home! Most comfy bed I've ever slept in!

Another vote for the beds at CSR. They were amazing and really comfortable.

Out of the resorts we have stayed at (CBR, WL, AKL, BC, Poly, & GF), I think the GF and Poly have the most comfortable beds .

Good to hear about the beds at CR!...we are staying there in Dec. We just got back from a quick trip and stayed at POP...and felt the bed was terribly rock hard! POR seemed ok though..we were there Jan 2010.

It'd be really nice if some of you guys would post the dates of when you went to these resorts. I'm a little hesitent about my stay at POFQ in September when I hear POP actually has better beds. What? Shouldn't moderate be better?

POFQ is undergoing a rehab starting in the fall -- perhaps the beds will be replaced? POP is undergoing a rehab right now and some people may have had new beds?

We stayed in a refurb room ( as requested) at POP, building 7....5/27/10 to 6/1/10.
