Hi I’m sure this has been asked but can’t find it
Anyone have any mask recommendations for wearing in the parks?
something you found comfortable wearing in the parks?
Thank you

I just wear the blue disposable paper masks. No problems with them staying on during any rides. I wore a fabric mask the first day Universal opened and found that to be more uncomfortable in the heat but I'm sure it depends on the specific mask.

I've heard the fabric masks universal sells are pretty comfortable and that the ones from Disney are hot and run small.

Be aware gaiters/vented masks are not allowed at Disney any longer.

We used fabric double layered masks we made at home. One thing we did find, is to take a couple of extra with you. When masks get wet it gets difficult to breathe. We had 2 ziplock bags with us. One for clean masks and another for wet/dirty masks.

Paper masks are the most comfortable in my experience. We wore them to WDW last month and were fine. We would have been miserable in cloth.

Some people like KN95s (the non-medical version of N95), because they don't touch the nostrils or mouth, so you have a bit more breathing room.

Paper masks are too air restrictive for me. First trip, when one layer was allowed, made my own of a light weight cotton. Not an open mesh that you could see thru, but a brushed cotton that felt super soft and was the weight of gauze, so super light on the face. Now they have to be 2 layer, so made one from a cute light cotton material (something you'd make a toddler's dress with), with an iron on interfacing for the second layer. Pulled the pattern from the web. The style that is two pieces, seam in the middle that covers the nose then swooshes down the cheek so it isn't right there by your eye. The interfacing let it hold its shape away from my face (similar to the KN95s) which helped a little with the heat.

We used the blue disposable paper masks and found them to be really comfortable - we honestly didn't even notice them most of the time.

The masks that Universal Studios sell are amazing. They are by far the superior mask when compared to the ones Disney is selling.

Do you mind telling me what brand you used or where you bought them? I'm sure there are all types of blue disposable paper masks.

I'm also quite surprised Disney allowed paper (but glad) because I though they said cloth coverings.

Thank you!

I'm not sure where my husband got them from, but the brand is Kimberly Clark. I think even though they're paper, they're cloth-like and provide the same protection so Disney hasn't had an issue with them.

Thank you for the info. I'll keep my eye out on a good deal and availability. I have a few months before we head to Fort W.

My favorite mask that I wore for hours at Disney is actually the very first mask I purchased from Etsy for $5 and free shipping. It's all cotton and lightweight: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GreenHeartsFaceMasks

Side note: I got my Disney masks in the mail last week and I think they are itchy, I think from the polyester. I'm going to sell them or just use for short errands.

We were there for a week in July. We tried different masks during our stay and all agreed the Athleta masks worked the best for us. My husband planned on wearing the medical masks, but pretty early on he switched to the Athleta masks. In my opinion you need something with a nose bridge and ear adjusters for the masks to feel comfortable. I was really concerned before our trip that wearing the mask in the July heat would be unbearable, but after a while you just get used to having it on.

My wife loves the disposable masks and I used the under amour running mask. That’s the most comfortable for me for longer wear

Thanks! I heard alot of people griping about the cost of the under amour mask but I have heard it is truly the most comfortable and will last far longer than a bunch of cheaper masks
