Comfort Suites Maingate vs Comfort Suites Maingate East

I just booked CS Maingate for $49.90 per night. The CSME is $65.00 per night and has now gone all non smoking. We have a smoker in the group.
Has anyone stayed at both and can tell me the differences. I have stayed at CSME last year and liked it. I don't mind outdoor corridors in fact I prefer it.

We are arriving on January 3rd.

Any help would be appreciated.
