Has anyone stayed here? Would you recommend it? We are looking for accommodations for a cheap trip.

long ago I stayed there I am sure it is better now - the best I could say then it was close to WDW.

my problem was not with the room - but the staff (lack of staff) - the person who check me in was so high (drugs) that I almost left - the food was almost not eatibility - there is a Macdonald not far....

I haven't tried it since then (talking about 80's).

SpiceyCat, I don't think this is the same one, this just opened in 1998...

I hope not - but the address is on US 192 - so was the other one... very close to WDW property less than a mile.

I think Emme probably posted you the link to her questions re the hotel which a couple of us answered: but in a nutshell, it's a nice hotel, great pool, good breakfast': I'd recommend it.

Great motel to stay. Good buffet breakfast. Good location. Nice pool. Clean rooms.

Just came back from a 3-night stay. Rooms were nice and clean, pool area was pretty, location was great (safe area, Winn Dixie grocery store, Subway, Cracker Barrel, Outback Steak House, TGIFridays all within steps of the hotel). Rooms have a decent-sized refrigerator and microwave, a loveseat, and a table with two chairs, in addition to the beds.

DH and I did not eat the free continental breakfast, so can't comment on that.

Two minor problems with the hotel: the rooms are very dark (they use low-wattage compact florescent bulbs which cast a dim, cold light), easily solved by buying some regular light bulbs at Winn Dixie.

The second problem is that the walls are very thin and the place was very noisy--I was awakened every night and morning by noise, lots of puzzling banging sounds that I couldn't figure out in the middle of the night, plus plumbing sounds and kid sounds in the mornings. Although we faced the pool, it was relatively quiet and we were not bothered by any noise from the pool.

I would stay there again.
