In my never ending quest to find an inexpensive hotel where we will be happy, I have come upon the Comfort Inn LBV. A little history -- 8 years ago we went to WDW, had free passes from my dh's employment at a Disney call center and stayed at Days Inn Lakeside for $28 -- we had no money. We drove by Lake Buena Vista on the way to the parks and I decided that was where I wanted to stay next trip; it's close to the "world" and has everything my family could want. We've actually returned to WDW since then and stayed at HIFS, but they're starting renovations this year and we're hesitating. We also have reservations at POR (also scheduled to start reservations), but I'm looking for a good offsite choice. Specifically, I'm looking in the Lake Buena Vista area.
I stumbled across the Comfort Inn LBV. We're already choice priveleges members and we can get a room with a queen bed and 3 twin beds (bunk beds and a twin) for about $700 less than our Disney package (got a great rate with my Entertainment card). I did a search but most of the responses are over 6 months old and I'd love to hear some newer reviews. My family is used to the Comfort Inn level of hotel and we don't really need anything more. So these are my questions: Has anyone stayed in the family suites? Do the A/C and fridge work well enough? Is the continental breakfast adequate to hold my non-picky family until we eat at 11 am at the parks? Pools big enough for the size of the hotel? We just need a place to sleep but we want to sleep comfortably and my 3 don't sleep well in the same beds -- lots of giggling and playing but no sleeping.
