I sure hope it's cooler for JJ. It's good that there are places to go that are cooler.

Our day was very nice. Everything seemed to go in our favor. Timing for everything was perfect despite some delays.

Tonight, well...it's been inconvenient. We went back to the room to rest. Housekeeping hadn't been to the room. (We were gone from 6:30am til 3pm.) I put the "do not disturb" sign out on the door. Figured we were gone long enough for them to get the room done, and we needed to rest. We went out for icecream around 6, came back and there was a note under out door that housekeeping had been there at 7pm. (It was 6:22 at the time I read the note, lol.) As we were eating our icecream in the room, it started to feel warmer and warmer. I checked the thermostat and it was 81 degrees in the room! I went down to the front desk and reported it. A maintenance guy stopped by and he said the fan on the outside unit wasn't working. They moved us to another room. (I really have to learn not to overpack.) It took us almost an hour to move to another room and we missed hyperspace hoopla. They did refund us 50% for the night. And we are in a nice cool room now. I think I worked up more of a sweat packing up our stuff in the room than I did at dhs today.

I sure hope it's cooler for JJ. It's good that there are places to go that are cooler.

Today was another scorcher. High in the 80's feeling like it's in the 90's. We cooled off eating lunch at 50's PTC, going to Darth's Mall to see characters, and walking in the shops instead of on the streets. We left when it started to drizzle and got to the car before the downpour.

Poor Jeremy. That must have been so hard to stomach (the pictures alone make me queasy) and I would have cried too. I thought you were on your cruise this week. Guess I got mixed up. I hope he heals quickly. When does he get the stitches out.

I hope you and he can work it out to come to SWW next year.

We actually leave in the morning. It's a 4 day out of Long Beach (Monday to Friday). We can't wait for the time away with everything that's happened the last couple weeks!!

We were able to beat the heat on Sunday.

We arrived to DHS around opening. Everything outdoors we did before lunch, then did indoor things after lunch.

It looks like Disney really went all out for the Fourth. Looks like JJ was really in his element at the dance party. I'm so glad theatre has worked out well for him. Didn't one of the actors/actresses from Clone Wars suggest it? Sounds like he is naturally gifted at acting to have all these opportunities.

What a bummer about all those issues you had with your room.

I hope Grumpy's semester ended well. Also, fingers crossed he gets accepted into the Culinary Program!

We're home and had a great time!!!! The kids loved the kids clubs (well James not so much but he did have fun when he wasn't crying.) They are already asking when we can go again!!!

His ear is looking better. Going in next week for a follow up. We got the stitches taken out when we were on the ship and it was actually very reasonable. Only $20!!!! Just a little more than my copay had we gone to the Doctor here to have them taken out.

In more exciting news Jeremy has lost his first tooth!!! He was so excited about it and couldn't wait to tell me that the Tooth Fairy gave him $2 this morning when he found it under his pillow!!!!

Glad it got there. I will tell him. He really dislikes writing or drawing.

The fourth was fun! I hope they do something like that again. We only arrived around 7:30-ish so most of the festivities were finished.

Yes! Ashley Eckstein had suggested theater for him. My family will always be grateful to her for the suggestion.

We are back in that same room again this weekend. The air conditioner is fixed, the room is nice and cool, but this time, I keep finding giant red ants. I got bit behind my knee early this morning...in bed. Yikes! I felt a tickle and wacked it an realized it was a bug. I don't do bugs very well. It was a pretty big ant. I think it must have been some kind of fire ant because it was more of a sting than a bite.

It would probably have been more uncomfortable for Jeremy if we had waited until we could get into our Dr.'s office due to it having had a chance to heal for a couple more days. I actually expected them to tell me $100+ so when they told me $20 I didn't even think twice to getting it done.

He was very excited!! Now he keeps asking when is he going to lose his next one. We didn't even realize his tooth was loose until yesterday when we got off the ship and he told DH about it. By dinner that night we were able to pull it out because it was loose enough.

Week 2 has been proving to be a fun one!

Thursday:

JJ went to the neurologist. He thinks that the coughing/choking he has been experiencing is due to seizure activity. So he ordered a 24 hour MRI. He thinks JJ is having an increase in discharges. If so, he will start a trial medication. If not, then I guess we are off to a GI doc to see what is going on. These episodes are scary. They started out lasting seconds and now they last minutes. The only way he can communicate is by thumbs up or thumbs down. Some times they happen a couple times a day and other times he goes weeks without one.

After the appointment we met LisaM and her family at Sea World. JJ just loved Hunter and showed off for him. So much that by the time we got checked into our resort, he needed a nap. Even went to bed by 8 because he was so tired.

Friday:

Dh got in line after 4am for Jim Cummings autograph

FP return time was just after 10am. The M&G was very nice. I got some very interesting pictures.

Lunch was at 11 at 50's PTC

1:45 we saw Warwick Davis' show

Play practice was from 5:30 to 7:30

Saturday:

Dh got up at 2:00 to get in line for Warwick Davis' autograph.

FP return time was for 10:20.

11:00 was the motorcade. I won't give out too much info, but it made me cry.

12:00 was the Voices show

After that we were going to go shopping, but JJ had to leave. So we grabbed a bite to eat off site and rested for few hours.

7:00 pm we went to Darth's Mall, but the character line had already closed. We bought Grumpy a present and priced shopped (sort of) for Lilfoot.

8:00 was hoopla then we walked around a bit until JJ wanted to go home

Sunday:

Not sure what tomorrow will bring. I do know that dh has me waking him up early for autographs. Plans are to let JJ sleep in as long as he needs.

SWW has been very fun. Today was another great day. It was a little cooler with a nice breeze all day. Our little guy walked and walked tonight. It's just so amazing how temperature changes his level of energy. He met so many people early this evening.

It was fun meeting up with them!

Today was so much fun. I need to remember to write about the ewok people at AI.

Today was declared the best Star Wars day ever. Thanks to an awesome cm he got to see Tuskan Raiders, Zam Wessell, Aura Sing, storm troopers and Greedo! One of the interactions was so awesome. We walked away and a photopass photographer came out of no where and asked if I had a photopass because he caught the interaction on his camera!!

Good thing he was able to have fun after a few minutes. Separation anxiety can be tough. We were never able to say good-bye to JJ. It's always been a "'see you" or dropping him off without a word, hug or kiss. To him, goodbye is something final.

It was really hard leaving James with him crying since he is m baby and all but I knew it was good for both of us!! I'd give him a hug and kiss and tell him I'd see him soon and to have fun so I never used the words "good bye". I didn't want him to think we were never coming back. I did mess up one night by being on Deck 10 (they were on Deck 11 and could see Deck 10 from the windows) and he saw me. Luckily the ladies in the kids club were quick thinkers and told James "Look James, there's mommy!! She'll be coming to get you soon!!!" It calmed him down right away!! I know that doesn't work for every child but it did work for mine.

Is his ear healing nicely?

It's actually healing better than I thought it would. I need to take an updated picture and post it. It's looking pretty good and next week we will get in to the doctor to get it checked out. Once I call that is and make our appointment.

I'll need to call my dentist and find out. I hadn't heard of that before!!!


I hope you are able to figure out the ant problem!!! I know it's no fun to have an ant infestation. When I first moved out of my parent's house my ex husband and I moved into a brand new house and had ant's make a home in our waterbed!!!! I didn't know why I had all these bug bites on my legs until I pushed back the foot of our waterbed and found the ants!!! Needless to say I didn't sleep in our bed for a good week until it the problem was taken care of!!! I hope you don't have any more problems are able to continue to enjoy SWW!!!
