Come to the Dark Side...We Have Cookies...(updates 4/3)

Not this past Monday, but the Monday before we went to the Magic Kingdom and had a blast. Crowd level was a 4. I took some pics of the construction of the Mine Ride, we went on Peter Pan and Under the Sea, and ate dinner at the Columbia Harbour House, and we finished a round of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom that we had started but didn't finish.

:( This was the day we SHOULD have met up. We were over in Epcot. Next time though!!! There are a bunch of us going in the fall, so we will have to have a special dismeet then!!!

finally getting caught up!

so proud of JJ being such the salesman and helping out with the raffle! and so exciting that he is three weeks seizure free!

happy he liked his pixie dust....Eve was made by another scrapping friend for a swap, but knew he would love her! when I wrapped his gift I found the gold paper and knew how much fun he had with the last one so I decided to send it along!

wow the mine is going to be huge! guessing it will be inside a mountain from the look of it!
yum sweet potatoes, love them!

Just stopped by to say hi, it has been too long. LOVE the latest pics! So thankful JJ has you as his Mom, you are doing an amazing job with/for him. Tell him we send our love.

I am not quite caught up yet with the TR but I wanted to comment before I forgot...

I love JJ's idea for a charity. My cousin has severe autism and his mother died when he was relatively young...He is a very tall and big kid, it is only a matter of time before he is too big/strong for his dad. :sad2:

JJ just has the warmest, sweetest heart, it really shows too in the things he does. I hope and pray one day his seizures will be gone too. :goodvibes It is clear that meltdowns aside, his real personality is fantastic! :thumbsup2

By the way, best of luck to Grumpy in getting the culinary internship! I visited the Living with the Land people and hope to apply for an internship. Unfortunately I am still on the fence about whether I should do it or not in light of recent events. I have had severe anxiety since I was a kid and it's pretty much gone now except when I am really sick...then I need my parents. I can go months without a problem, but it flared up pretty badly a couple of days ago and it's giving me pause. :sad2:

EDIT: Just caught up! YAY FOR 3 WEEKS SEIZURE FREE! I hope the streak continued!

Camille,

Flat bread sounds ok. I'm not much of a pasta eater anyway. Steak I usually stay away from.

Sounds like the flat bread is your best bet. :thumbsup2

My camera is Iron Man red in color.

Aaaah, now I get it!

The baked sweet potatoes are back at that fruit stand! They also have sandwiches too. I'll post pics of the menu that I took last week.

Thank you so much for posting the pics of these items! :goodvibes You are so sweet to think of me. :upsidedow

JJ is almost 3 weeks seizure free. I forgot to write down the date of the last seizure on my calendar. But that's another victory!

This is AMAZING news!! :cool1: :cheer2: Y'all have had some amazing weather!! Hope it keeps up until after we're there. :flower3:

I forgot to comment on the THREE WEEKS seizure free! I pray that is continuing and that you have a blessed Sunday.

I know. Once again we were so close and missed each other. Another time for sure.

He turned in your envelop to the theater last Friday. Thanks so much!

This weekend so far they sold 24 hats. There is another performance today so hopefully they will sell the 30 remaining and we will get back to hat making!

The ride looks like a very nice size. Yes, mostly indoor.

He loved Eve, your scrap booking friend did a great job. He loves the tissue paper and orange is his favorite color.

I wish I would have recorded on the calendar his last seizure. A friend of mine said she thought it was on a Wednesday. So I'm going based on her recollection.

Thanks for stopping by! Thanks, I take the camera most places. The bad part is that twice now I forgot to put the battery back in it after charging. Thanks for the kind words of support. I'll tell him.

Thanks for all your kind words.

I'm sorry about the severe anxiety. That can be tough. I'm glad it's mostly gone.

We hope the streak continues too!

Thanks Camille. The weather has been fabulous. Buddy Baseball was on Saturday morning. It was 52 degrees when we hit the field and in the 70's when the game was over. His buddies came up to me afterwards and said that they were concerned about him after he ran the bases the last time. We cooled him down and then he was fine. I sure hope it continues to stay cooler. He hasn't missed a practice. Last year he missed all but one due to higher temps.

I forgot to comment on the THREE WEEKS seizure free! I pray that is continuing and that you have a blessed Sunday.

Thanks, surely appreciate the prayer.

JJ got his part for the next play for his special needs theatre troupe. He will be Rafunzel's prince in Fabulously Funny Fairytales. Not a misprint, it's a spoof on the actual fairytale.

Well that sounds like . . . fun ;) . What will JJs character do -- lots of lines or singing or dancing or what?

How cool!!!

Also... :cool1: on the seizure free!!!

Since there are about 50 "kids" they decided to go with a script that had several different little skits. Since there is a music director I'm sure there will be some group singing, but each skit it talking.

He gets tangled in ribbon, pecked by birds, covered in sweet tea, stung by bees, etc. on his way up Rafunzels hair. Doesn't that sound like fun?

He already has his lines memorized. He learned them as they were going over them. He refused to take his script and read it at practice. He will do ANYTHING to avoid reading. So he memorized it as they went along.

How cool!!!

He's very excited to start another play. They are also working on their homeschool players showcase too.

Wow, that sounds like a really great role and a cute play! :goodvibes He was adorable as the dog in the Grinch play (Max?). I hope you guys manage to raise enough money with the fundraiser, it sounds like a wonderful program.

It is a fantastic program. I am amazed at how much it has helped so many of the "kids". I say kids, but it's for ages 12 and up. The oldest is in the 50's and JJ is the youngest at age 8.

Thanks, he loved playing Max.

Great news on being seizue free for 3 weeks!! Hope the trend continues!!

What a fun great play that sounds like it's going to be!!!

I should hopefully have JJ's cape next week as she had another event last week was was busy getting that done. Now that it's done she can get back to work on the one's I've ordered.

sounds like JJ's part will be full of adventure and fun! I was happy to help out such a wonderful organization! hope you sell the remaining hats!

Plans for today include voice lessons, acting lessons then Epcot to check out the F&G Festival. Of course in between is school work. If things go as planned he should be done with all his 2nd grade work before SWW ever starts!

What fun JJ's play sounds!

It's going to be a very funny play. All the skits are silly.

I know! The longest stretch he's ever made was 2 months. It would be great to see even longer than that. Keeping cool temperature-wise makes a big difference for him. But our cool weather isn't going to last forever.

The kids are going to have so much fun doing this play.

Great! I know he will love and cherish the cape.

Today I'll find out how many they sold on Sunday. We have 3 more shows to sell hats at.

JJ is wondering if they are going to mess him up literally or figuratively.

Sounds like fun!!

Jackie

It sure does. It will be fun to see.

Where's that menu? Doesn't sound too bad.

They have made a lot of progress on the mine ride.

Is this from the day you texted me when the weather was pretty bad? It does look stormy.

Those shrimp are so good, and now I want some! :rotfl2:

The menu is the fruit cart between Liberty Tavern and the Columbia Harbour House.

It's going up fast. I heard it's ahead of schedule and will open sooner than expected.

The shrimp tastes like the same recipe they have for the shrimp appetizer at the Coral Reef. I want some now too!
