At least at the start of the day they still had the graphic for the specail that was supposed to be running through 12/18. Now there's nothing.

I got my trip booked on Friday for $1100. Same package today is $1300.

They haven't released room only codes all year have they? I know there were some out for the beginning of the year but they were released at the end of 04.

I think the most anyone will see are package discounts.

I must say that I have finally given up. Oh well, it is just a shame for all of us who have tons of extra Disney tickets that never expire.

Well it will definately make me think before I upgrade to the no exp option!!!

I mean if the packages are this nice, why bother with no exp for "future" trips??

Wow, good point. I was considering the no exp option as well, and now I don't think I will get it :paw:

I agree with this, we are now forced into package deals, so why buy tickets without expiration dates. It seems foolish.

I was suprized to learn just how expensive those NoExpire tickets are...

For our family of three, it cost about $600 for tickets for 5 to 7 days. Cost almost nothing to upgrade to 10 days. But the price soars to $900 to upgrade to No Expire.

When I consider that I just booked a 7 night stay at Pop for my family of three for early Feb 2006 for only $1,110 (room, tickets, hopper, water park, taxes), I just can't justify the extra cost.

The "problem" is that No-Expire costs $10/ticket/day, including the days you use it during the basic 14-day window.

The No-Expire would be much more reasonable if it was $10/ticket/UNUSED DAY (i.e. at the END of your WDW trip, allow us to spend $10/ticket/unused day to upgrade the rest of the ticket to no-expire). That way, I could spend $600 to purchase 10-day ticket, use 5 days, and then upgrade the remaining 5 days to no-expire for $150.

Does anyone think that room only will come out after the holidays since they released Florida Resident rates? Still a bit hopeful I guess. :teeth:

No, I don't think so.

I am going to call today. Reservation told me to call back the day after Christmas. I am very doubtful but maybe a New Year Miracle. I still think they should have some respect for all of the loyal customers who do have all of these non-expiring tickets and then all that is offered is a package.

I will not buy any more tickets that do not expire, I don't think we are going to see room only again, maybe just on very, very low attendance periods.

Happy New Year to all on the Disney Board.

Post what you find out, Patty! I am giving up and ordering my tickets today from Ticketmania I think. I will be happy at the Dolphin (although I was hopeful the room rate would be a little less there after the Christmas Holiday special was over.) Jan is high-season for them. Overall I am dissappointed with the specials offered for Jan. I didn't want to include the water parks as it will be pretty cold to use them. I hope that the fact that Disney didn't run much of a "special" doesn't mean that the resorts are very full already!

from what I see they are full january 5, 6, 7, and 8 and then there appears to be availability after that until the night of the 13th.

I am disappointed too. :guilty:

I gave up and made AAA reservations. :earsgirl: Of course I had to buy a AAA package, but I needed one anyway. And, I can cancel the room if Disney comes out with a better rate. I believe the low season rate was $65.00. :wave2:
