Just curious, I checked those historical links and can't find details on how much more the discount is then the GP ones...

For example, I'm booking a moderate and the General Public discount is 30%, how much can I expect the AP discount to be IF it's available?

I too am waiting for a late Oct.-early Nov AP rate. Maybe a silly question...but has there been a time period where they didn't offer an AP rate for this time period? I mean there's no guarantee they will, right?

they were offered in 2007, 2008, 2009...

in my experience, we have gotten 35% off moderate resort stays with the AP discount.

Hang on. . . I was able to get right through - but my (wonderful) CM spent over 15 mins checking all the different options and waiting for info to come onto the system (may be running a little slow). So with all the different offers I think each call will take longer today.
I can't imagine that if there are no rooms only available for my dates today that there will be any when the AP rates come out - surely they wouldn't hold rooms open for us if they could sell them with a package - at least that doesn't make sense to me. Good luck everyone!

The AP rates are out? The website isn not showing this and neither is mousesavers. The only discount is the general public room only savings which is usually the same % off as the gp. When I get back from dropping off my daughter I'll call. If I were any of you, I'd call for the GP discount. The AP advantage in the past was getting the discount earlier than everyone else. Looks like that perk is gone.

The GF has the same discount as the mods and AKL isn't even that good. My daughter really wants to stay at the Dolphin. Disney has gotten me used to better treatment because of the AP, so since I love the Dolphin too we'll more than likely stay there. I'm going to hold onto my WL reservation in case they decide to have one of the discounts we heard about.

I don't think anyone has actually gotten an AP rate yet but one CM someone spoke to said the current one was extended so I plan to ask since we are traveling one week after the current one ends.

If I get through I'll let you know... been on hold 48 minutes now!

For those of you on the phone - Please check to see how far the AP rates have advanced. Many of us are looking for mid-late October rates.

Like I said, I got an agent in 3 minutes when I first called who knew nothing about ANY AP or GP discounts, and suggested I call marketing to ask when there might be a release! My luck!

I called right back and I have been on hold for 45 minutes. I am looking for both October and December AP discounts to see if I can get better discounts than I already have. I did get a good discount through a TA last month for Oct which I don't think my AP discount will even beat, but I'm going to try.

For a package and who knows if they'll even release one. I'll book the gp discount and then have any AP discount-if it's better applied. My first reaction is not to renew but it's a good deal with my DVC membership, so I'm keeping it. Maybe WDW knows that a lot of us are either in FL, travel to WDW often, or are DVC members with the good discount, so they have us where they want us.

Phone in and get the GP discount. I doubt any AP discounts, IF they come out are going to get you more than the GP discount will. You are looking at anywhere from 25-40% off depending on what type of resort. I just got 4 nights at Poly, Them Park for 1535.

Whatever you do, don't hold on the phone. Take advantage of the website being up and working.
