Come Celebrate This Summer at the Disneyland Resort!

Thank you for sharing the news. :)

It sounds like a very nice and entertaining event. I do not for see being able to visit Dl. until Sept. It would be nice if this event could be extended through that time frame. (Crossing fingers)

Keeping my fingers crossed too :)

I'm hoping someone can clarify this celebration. Will these things still be happening on the weekend? Fantasmic doesn't end on the 23rd of August does it? Does anyone know what the midweek hours from 8/24 through labor day will be? When we were in DL in 2005 the week before labor day, the park was open until midnight every day.

Thanks!

In classic Disneyland style, I'm sure that the standard entertainment (fireworks, Fantasmic, etc.) will continue on a weekend schedule, but the TLT parties will probably end (possibly the Pixie Hollow light show will end as well).

I mean, why would they have NO fireworks on June 6th? Don't they usually count Friday as a weekend?

Maybe this is all just the creators way of making me be not so disappointed if this flu thing really does take off and we end up having to cancel our trip!

Do not worry about this new flu. It is treatable, and very few people in Ca. have contracted it. It's origin is from Mexico. And although, most unfortunately it has made it's way into different parts of the U.S. still, it is by no means a pandemic.
I always like to remind people, to stay home, if they can, in the event that they are sick. And to wash thoroughly their hands with soap and water. If soap is not available at the time, a very good washing with hot water will work too. And try to stay away from anyone that appears to be hacking up a lung. I do not like to stand too close to anyone either, partly it is a matter of my personal space not being invaded, and partly so I can at least attempt to avoid any one's germs.

Well phooey! Of course it all starts two days after I leave. :(

Ah..... hopefully it will be extended so you will not miss it.

Ah great news! We just came back from a visit yesterday and both me and my 5 year old daughter were really bored/disappointed by the street party/dance/celebration thing. The singing was bad, the floats were dull, and the whole idea just felt low-rent and cheese ball. Great to see them bringing back the classics for the summer- can't wait to take my 2 girls back this July so they can experience what a great ending to a day at Disneyland can really be like!

From what I read even though all of these new things are touted as new "summer" items to bring people into the parks for the summer, most of them are permanent upgrades and won't stop and revert back to the way it was before, just because it ends August 23rd.

Fantasmic changes are permanent as well as the upgrade to Pixie Hollow, Magical Fireworks and the ELP changes. I think the only one that's truely ending at the end of the summer is the Tommorland Terrace entertainment.
