Combining RR accounts with SW

Our SW credit card is in DH’s name. The majority of points are in his account and I have a few thousand in my account. Can these two accounts be merged? If so, do I have to contact SW to do this? Thanks

No. You have to maintain separate accounts. However you can transfer points at a cost of $10 per 1,000 points. This is a new perk that SW is offering. We used it already to transfer 1,000 from each of our kid's accounts into mine and I'm about to transfer DH's 3,000 points to up my total so we have enough to cover all our airfare under one booking.
