Combining Pin Codes or CM Discounts with AP DDP

So we got "the" pin offer last night for 28%-42% off room rates only. We also have a friend who is a CM, and through him, we can get a room slightly cheaper than those prices.

My question is whether, as AP holders, we can get a room through one of these offers, and add the AP DDP separately. I'm holding off booking one of the offers until the AP discounts for late August come out, so hopefully we can avoid this dilemma (if there actually is one) by just booking the room at the AP discount rate.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't believe WDW allows 'stacking' of discounts. You'll probably get a better room rate with the CM. It might be a good idea for you to sit down and figure up how each discount would cost you and pick the best that way.

It wouldn't be stacking discounts though (unless the DDP is in and of itself considered a "discount"), it would just be paying the full price for the DDP, which I should otherwise be able to do as an AP, when I purchase an room at the AP rate. Right? (or so I am hoping...)

I think you are right. I was misreading your original post so I was confused (typically stay in a state of confusion though :)).

My friend, a CM, told me that the DDP was not available for a room booked on the CM rate, even for AP holders.

Depending on the code, you may be able to add the DDP to it. I got the 40% off PIN for AP holders, and was able to use it and book the DDP (paid for, of course).

Thanks for the info.

Maybe we will just wait a couple of weeks to book, then. The last two summers we've been able get a substantial discount at SSR + the DDP for $20.99 with a CM "special offer". I believe both times this appeared on the Cast Portal in late June or early July. We were hoping to have a cheaper stay this summer, but I suppose we could manage doing SSR or OKW (the other resort at which the deal is offered) again...

Did you have to purchase tickets to get the DDP???....I'm assuming you do.
What was the nightly rate....pm me if you feel better doing that. I have a CM friend.....I hate to ask too many questions without some ideas of what I'm asking for, I hate to be pushy....also whether a "friend" can use this discount.
Thanks for any help.

We did not have to purchase tickets, but our friend did have to stay in the room with us to get the discount (it's not like the "other room" discounts for friends and family). I don't remember what the exact rate was, but I think it was around $100 a night for a studio at SSR.

What was really nice is that both times we have gotten this deal, we have been upgraded to a 1BR for free.

Hope that helps!
