Combining Disney gift cards?

I know this has been discussed here but I can't find the info now that I need it...

Anyways, I have 20 gift cards in $25 and $50 amounts. The gift card site says I can load up to 5 cards. I can then transfer the balances from 4 of the cards onto the 5th. Will I then be able to upload more cards? But just 4 this time? I'm confusing myself.

I'm not even sure I'm making sense. If someone could explain it to me I'd be grateful!

You can combine as many cards as you want until you reach $1,000 on one card. The gift card website allows you to keep track of 5 cards at one time (each of these cards can have up to $1,000 on them). If you have more than 5 cards on the website, you can delete 1 card (the balance remains in tact) and add a new card to continue combining if need be.

Hope that helps.

Yes, you will just need to delete 4 of the cards once the balance has been transferred to your "primary card" and their balance is zero.
I make sure to keep handy the actual plastic gift card that I have made my "primary card", because you will still need to have all of the digits from that card when making a payment. The website shows only the last four.

Actually, you don't need to add all the cards before transferring the balance. Just add one card and then select the 'Transfer Balance' option from the 'Manage Cards' menu. This will give you the option to select from your existing cards or to enter the information from a card that you haven't linked to your account. Just entering the card information and transferring the balance this way will keep your 4 extra slots open. Once you have maxxed out your first added card at $1000 you can add a 2nd card. Rinse and repeat with the balance transfers.

This method will keep you from having to keep clearing out the extra card slots over and over.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond! I appreciate your help!

Yes, this! That's exactly what I did. No need to enter all of them on to the site individually. Just enter 1 card and then "transfer" the balances from the other cards until the $1,000 max is reached. And remember to keep your physical gift cards until your trip is over because if you have to cancel for any reason, the money will be put back on those cards. Depending on what you plan to do with those funds (in the case of a refund) you might want to have the physical card to spend at a store or restaurant (plus, as a PP mentioned, the website doesn't show you the entire number on the card).
