Combining corporate/coupon codes with Alamo?

Has anyone ever successfully rented from Alamo and combined an Entertainment coupon with another corporate code (e.g. Costco)?

We're looking to rent a vehicle from Jan 22 to Jan 25 (Sun to Wed). Most coupons don't apply for our dates (either need a longer stay or need a Saturday night keep). I found a coupon in the Entertainment book which gives $25 off and works for our dates. We get a decent rate using the Entertainment corporate code, but switching to the Costco corporate code will save us another $8. I'm always looking to save a few dollars here and there, but not if it's going to cause us problems. I've combined codes in the past, but never with a physical coupon like the Entertainment coupon.

If the website will take it when you book it, it will be fine. You cannot, however, use the kiosk for check in. You can check in online or go to the counter, but, be sure to bring the coupon and Costco card (just in case they ask) with you. You might even save more money if you sign up for the Insider's program. You can play with codes and coupons there too.

We have combined offers in the past with no problem. If you use a coupon though you will be able to do the save time option on-line which lets you put in your info but you won't be able to do the on-line check-in. You will have to go to the counter or kiosk to finish. You will be able to do on-line check-in with a discount code and no coupon though. We did this last year and once you get to the airport you just walk to the garage and pick the appropriate type of vehicle.

I did just this a few trips ago. In my case I didn't even realize it until after fact as I'm an insider and my Costco code defaults and I just put in Entertainment coupon.

I mix and match IDs and coupon codes all the time with Alamo. And I *always* use the kiosk. 99% of their coupons (including Entertainment Book coupons) these days are electronic and you don't really need the paper coupon, so the kiosk works fine. I always take the paper coupon along anyway, but I haven't needed to actually use it or show it in the last two years.

Did you try the coupon code of AD4027JDO? That one saves $40 for insiders. I have it and the Costco set for next week.

You can do online checkin with Alamo's Insider electric coupons. I just processed three today. I love to process online check ins. It breaks up the monotany(sp?) of scanning the contract and the car and checking the license.
