Columbus Day weekend?

OK, what is it like, crowd wise?

Is is swamped everywhere? Or just MK and maybe water parks? If I avoid MK on Saturday & Monday will that be good enough?

In 2000 we went Columbus Day Weekend and it was soooo crowded that weekend. Especially MK.A few days before was wonderful.Of course it was during the Millinium Celebration and that may have contributed to it. We only rode a few rides.After fireworks we were able to ride one or two rides a couple of times in a row.Crowds thinned out drastically.

Do you think it will be enough to just avoid MK on Monday and Saturday? If so, would MGM be OK on Monday (the actual holiday)?

I would love to hear from more people who have been down on this holiday.
