Granted mine was almost 9 years ago, but our wedding colors were Burgundy/maroon with gold accents. A september wedding, so the colrs went beautifully with the foliage and Mountains .... Just felt like chiming in!

Because our wedding is at Christmas, our colors are ivory, deep red, and gold...

Our colors were originally going to be autumn colors... they have now changed to what we call Christmas ornament colors... (we havent' changed the colors, just what we call them.) Each one of our bridesmaids is wearing a diff color dress. We have red, winter sage green, gold (yellowy gold) and a beautiful rusty orange color. Our daughter, our Jr. Bridesmaid, will be wearing royal blue. Our flower colors are red, white and green since we will be married just before Christmas. But the girls flowers will slightly resemble their individual dress colors. I love colorful things. I know it will all look beautiful when the day comes.

Red - my DF is of Asian decent, it means good luck
Purple - my fav color and the color of royalty, hehe

can't decide whether to go with gold or silver accents with these, but most likely gold.

Quick ques. ladies - do colors/themes have to match the room? i.e. if I had my reception at Ariels with these colors, would it look awful??

Burgundy and Ivory.

I knew I wanted Ivory (and got an Ivory wedding gown) but I'm not sure why we used Burgundy? Those colors looked SO good together!

Yes I love Steel Magnolias....in fact my younger brother does too, I was going to buy it for him for christmas and he said that is not something that he could have in his viedo collection b/c it is a chick flick....oh well and if you had not guessed it Pink is my signature color!
