Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

I hate that it is already Spring Break so the kids don't even get a snow day but we had girl's night last night and watched Mamma Mia....tonight is more movies.

Hey, one good thing about being jobless...I don't have to worry about the commute.:lmao:

you mean like the bad storm we were supposed to get yesterday? :confused3

We didn't even get that much last Thursday! I think we maybe had 4 inches on our driveway. Very minor drifting, but nothing like they were forecasting!

Maybe it's just because we live in freakin' Kansas! (east Aurora - nothing east of us but plains!) :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Our storm was pretty intense yesterday. It was for a short time but very intense. We were driving in it and visiblity was bad and it built up on the roads immediately. Cold, windy.

That's funny how different even various parts of the city are!

Yesterday it was coming down fast (I should say the wind was blowing it around fast) but they were small flakes and the ground was too warm. Nothing collected on the pavement (just got wet) and the grassy areas wouldn't even have been described as receiving a dusting of snow.

We didn't get any accumulation yesterday - the snow coming down fast, but it was blowing sideways and I'm sure it must have landed in Kansas  We got 6-12 inches last week, the higher end being the drifted snow. I'm hoping the coming storm misses us, because Saturday is my DD's prom.

AccuWeather was showing 6-12 inches with blizzard conditions in the morning for Denver but I haven't seen a detailed forecast anywhere else. Of course the forecast may be entirely different by tomorrow night.

We got only a couple of inches on the grass yesterday but the roads and sidewalks stayed clear.

Val or anyone up north. Have you heard of Jump Street? Know anything about it? It is a trampoline place and one just opened down south. Was wondering if it would be appropriate for my twin 3 1/2 year olds.

My co-worker did the birthday party program there for her daughter a few years ago (somewhere between age 6 and 8) and said it was a lot of fun. I've never actually been there, so I don't really have any more info than that. I'd ask if they have age-appropriate activities for your grandkids.

I am working this weekend. I hope we don't get too much snow tomorrow.

don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow ...

We have prom activities planned for this weekend.

But, Val, this is Denver! Most of the time when it snows it's clear again within the day! ;)

Here's hoping for those with prom things that the weather is nice enough for kids to enjoy themselves (and stay safe driving - regardless of the weather!!!)

I hope this pattern eases up by next weekend, I promised the Grandsons I will take them to the Sky Sox game on the 11th.

don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow don't snow ...

We have prom activities planned for this weekend.
Oh no, I hope it doesn't snow so Prom isn't affected. I will join you in the don't snow chant!

WE are going Saturday
I think that is when we are going as well. :goodvibes

Sounds like the snow storm changed paths and that the Denver area won't get hit as hard. BUT, it is tracking north so I wonder if it will hit Val's area. I will join in the chant as well. Pixie dust for the Prom!
