Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

Welcome!!!

So which Saturday/Sunday would be better for everybody for White Fence Farm??

I am leaning toward the first weekend...if we can get more than 3 families to say yea or nay to a day I'll make the reservations!!

As I just found this today, I was only able to get throught the first 25 pages....I'll catch-up on the rest tonight...

Yes, welcome to Colorado. There are so many good restaurants in Denver, both chain and independent. Great Mexican, Good Italian, Great steak places.

Yes, but are there any decent barbeque places...being from Kansas City, I have yet to find anything that I like...Famous Dave's is horrible.

OMG, are you in wright farms or Holly Crossing? We're in WF!!

You're close to my MIL and SIL who live at 136th and Holly.

Our apartment is near 120th and Colorado.

We lived in an apartment for the first six months while our house was being built. We were also close to 120th and Colorado--Waterford Place---would not recommend to anyone even for six months. We're so glad to be back in a house again....this summer will be so much better than last summer stuck in the apartment.

Anyone workout at 24 Hour Fitness?

My DW works out there....she goes to the one at 120th & Sheridan. She's anxiously awaiting for the one to open at Highway 7.

Either works for me! May is probably better for us anyway.

Welcome Christopher!

:welcome: Christopher!

Thanks everyone.....We also enjoy White Fence Farm, especially the kids -- kinda reminds us of little of Strouds in KC....

Welcome. Looks like we will be cruising together in August!

We're so looking forward to our cruise this August!!! We're arriving 5 days early and will be going to San Diego to see the USS Midway (my FIL's last trip while he was alive was a "Make a Wish" type trip to ths USS Midway, so we want the kids to share in this). We will also visit Legoland as the kids live for Legos (and Disney). Finally, we'll be doing DL for two days -- our first trip ever to DL. This, plus 15 nights on the cruise -- 20 nights of vacation!!! Definitely a TOAL for us -- we've never done this long of a vacation before.

Have you tried Brothers BBQ? I've also heard that Brickyard is good. Check the websites for Westword and 5280 Magazine since they both do an annual Best Of Denver issue.

I don't think I have anything going on either day at this point. So whichever one works for the most people is fine with me.

I do like brothers. I am going for pulled pork though and you might be looking for something else. They are the closest to the good pulled pork sandwiches that I love from Tennessee.

Welcome Christopher. We went on the PC cruise last time. You are definitely in for a great cruise! I booked it for this year and decided against it. I didn't think my DD, PoohFriend, would like us on her honeymoon. LOL

I love Brothers BBQ for the pork. Heidi, what's the name of the place we went to in the Springs?

That's right. Famous Dave's is good for BBQ, too. I know they are in Denver somewhere, just don't remember where.

We love the BBQ place we found off of 25 and Arapahoe...can not for the life of me think of the name of it.

*perks up* Sweet tea??? Did someone say sweet tea???

:)

Babytrees, youse good peoples. :thumbsup2

How embarrassing. Guess I better slow down when I read. Sorry Christopher. I didn't mean to step on your toes. We like Famous Dave's but everyones tastes are different!

Mmmmm BBQ and SWEET TEA!!! My little ole semi-southern heart is pounding right now.:lmao: I love Famous Daves. Having grown up in KY with much time spent eating Tennessee style BBQ as a kid I have to say FD's is about as close as I can get to home. I love their tea as well. There is a Famous Daves up here at I-25 and Highway 7.

Ooh...sounds like we might need to settle this in the steel cage.
:lmao:

I like Famous Dave's too, but I am guessing Christopher has had some great BBQ. Maybe he can cook for us to show us that Famous Daves isn't even close to great BBQ that he knows! :cool1: :goodvibes :thumbsup2
