Colonial Williamsburg at Easter?

I have been reading a lot of recommendations for Colonial Williamsburg, but wondering how it would be for 3 or 4 days over Easter? My sister is flying down to NC from Canada and I am thinking about taking her and her 9 year old son there. I have a DS8 and a DD6 as well.

For a short trip would you recommend Great Wolf Lodge or perhaps someplace on site. What is Woodsland like? I have read that it is neat to stay right in Colonial Williamsburg. Or maybe a suite? Kingsmill looks really nice too!

Any recommendations on a place to stay for 3 nights?

Will it be really busy at Easter?

I have only been to Williamsburg in the summer, but I think Easter would be a great time to go - not as hot and humid.

We stayed at Kingsmill Resort and LOVED it. It is a lovely resort with lots of amenities - tennis, bikes, golf, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, restaurants, etc.

Williamsburg has a lot to offer - I have you enjoy your trip.

Word of warning, I went last year at spring break and hardly any of the outdoor exhibits were open. Almost NO costumed characters were in the town. It was kind of a bummer. The things that were available were the governors palace tour (extra $) and the maze, and carriage rides ($). No blacksmith, no battle recreation. We did however do one of the "Ghost Tours" at Williamsburg which was quite fun. Also at Jamestown settlement and Yorktown they were fully staffed and very enjoyable (and very inexpensive as well). We also went to Busch Gardens which is a nice theme park.
