I was really excited about tonight since it's our first halloween in a house in a neighborhood. :) I carved a couple of pumpkins this afternoon (disney themed, of course!), bougt a bag of candy, and waiting to see if we'd have any trick-or-treaters.

The first trick-or-treaters I got were two college aged boys (one dressed as a cow, complete w/ utters, and the other was just wearing random clothing, both had plastic cups of BEER! They stood on my porch, talking to me about my dogs and the pumpkins, and then realized I wasn't giving them any candy so they left. And one of them had the nerve to say in a really sarcastic voice, while walking away, "thanks for the candy."

After those two, we did have other trick-or-treaters. :) Including a little alice in wonderland. :)

LOL! :teeth: I know the college kids are not funny, but the mental image is! ;)

I have never had COLLEGE kids come around but we do get older teens (NOT in costume) later at night so I turn off the porch light at 8:30 now.

Oh, and we did get an AWESOME Little Mermaid here tonight, the girl was a young teen and had naturally red hair, and she looked perfect in her costume! :)

I assumed they were college kids b/c they had beer...but they may have been younger. The kids dressed as a cow was pretty funny...but I refused to share my candy with them!! LOL!

I've seen the cow costume its hillarious. We have a lot of older kids that come around as well.

When we were in college we always went trick-or-treating at our professors houses - in costume of course. We never had any beer though. Or I should say we never had any beer until while we were actually trick-or-treating. ;)

Perhaps they were children of people who took
them trick or treating with beers in their pockets-
like the two dads I found myself with two nights
ago. The guys were chugging away as their children
ran the neighborhood. I was disgusted and ds
and I quickly "lost" them as soon as I figured out
their plan.

It wasn't me. We carried ours in plastic cups. :D

Is this any different than walking around Epcot with a beer while your kids are with you?

Also, what was their plan?

I would have thrown it at them! ;)

Our light fixture on the front porch recently fried so I figured that no one would come to a totally dark house. Wow, was I ever wrong! People were standing out in the pitch dark ringing our doorbell. DH advised me not to answer the door since I couldn't see who was out there.
