So we will be at Disney when Michigan is playing Penn St and he would love to watch the game. :cheer2:

That night we plan on trying to catch the 7 or 8:30 Fantasmic show which puts in the vacinity of HS

Game starts at 4:30. Any ideas or suggestions of where I could ADR in HS that might have a TV or any where else to go? I don't know if we would have time to make it down to DTD (maybe they have something TV related?) and then back to Fantasmic?

suggestions please :worship:

ESPN club at... boardwalk? Then you could walk to DHS from there..But, figure 3 hours for the game on the low end.. So I see no way at all to make the 7 one.. Are they doing fantasmic that night? Remember they've cut the number of times F! is being done also..

Oh yea: GO BUCKS!!! O H..... I O....

edit: Holy Smokes.. I just realized I'll be leaving WDW the OSU vs state up north day!!! That stinks, I wont be able to watch a lot of it... Hmmmm... will have to figure something out...

1) I do not know of an ADR eatery with a TV view.
2) In most bar areas, but not in the restaurants.
3) Your best choice is ESPN Club
. . . no ADR's
. . . arrive 2-3 hours early on a game day

NOTE: Unfortunately, the Mich game is the second game of the day. You will have people camped out from the first game. Just hope that some folks want to leave.

Thanks to you both (from my DH) ;)

so ESPN place is where? Maybe we can tool around in MK during the day and then DH can head to ESPN after lunch time and get a seat. We can all meet at ESPN or at HS for the 8:30 Fantasmic popcorn::

(did verify there are two shows that night so that works out GREAT) figure the later one won't be as busy

is at the Boardwalk which is approx half way between Epcot and DHS. I'd suggest hanging out in one of those two parks that day. DD and I will be spending quality time there in Sept for the Red Sox games :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That game is going to be televised on ESPN on the 18th. Which is available in the Disney resort rooms. Your husband could just go back to the room and watch it there if he wants.

We just moved from MI :goodvibes Had to leave the cold and snow for the ocean and sunshine of SC though!

Anywho....how sweet of you to think about this for your DH! I'm thinking about trying to work in some sports time for my DH as well. I may order something fromthe Boardwalk Bakery and make his job to pick it up when he's finished with his lunch. That will give him a reason to be over there and it will save me a stop! :goodvibes

Have a great trip!! Good luck figuring something out!

Definatly, walk over to the Boardwalk, catch dinner over at ESPN Club and walk back to HS. Or you could take the boat that runs back and forth, either or it's about the same. If you do that, your DH won't miss a single play- even if he has to run to the bathroom! (They have tv's all over the walls of the bathrooms so you don't miss anything)

I love ESPN Club and, when my mother and I can't plan vacation around the Philadelphia Eagles games (we're season ticket holders so we only travel during away games or the bye week and yes we know that's sad), we spend a good portion of our Sunday afternoon there after hitting Epcot at park opening. The first time I saw the TVs in the bathroom, I laughed for an hour. I would've taken a picture if I didn't fear being arrested.

I was thinking ESPN club to due to the proximity and atmosphere. As mentioned it will be difficult to get there on time (almost impossible with the 7 show). But is is Michigan so they will be out of it by halftime, maybe you can leave then...lol...(Just a friendly poke from Ohio)

Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ESPN is great, I was down at WDW in June during the Stanley Cup finals. So we had dinner there to cheer on our Red Wings. Although they wouldn't put it on the big screen, just the small tvs and the ones in the bar.

GEE - that sounds familiar - Bills here though, and no that's not sad! I have some pictures somewhere from the men's room, I'll see if I can find them and post them! :lmao:

To OP -- It is very, very hard to get into ESPN for college and NFL games - be forewarned - it's very crowded. Good luck though. It's a GREAT place to watch a game and drink a few beer (or maybe a lot)

Another vote for ESPN on Game Day!

We have watched many Penn State games while munching on great wings and drinking cold beer at ESPN!

i'm not allowed to schedule vacation during football season:lmao:

We are ... PENN STATE!!

I vote for ESPN as well! I went there on my trip last year for a Buckeyes game and the atmosphere was awesome! Then we celebrated on the Boardwalk for the rest of the evening :)

Sept 13th OSU plays USC-THE GAME of the YEAR according to ESPN-BUT.....it is on ABC-and we will be in Disney... however, I made sure it was a free evening-- I am hoping to watch it in our room at POFQ-I found a list of channels available in Disney -it says ABC Family-any idea if they have straight ABC? GO BUCKS O...H....I....O

They have "regular" ABC at the resorts.

I suspect the game will be on at ESPN at the BoardWalk as well since Disney owns ABC and ESPN:thumbsup2

It really is a fun place to watch a game!

My DH and I are also big Michigan fans (Go Blue!) and we went to the ESPN club to watch the Michigan-Iowa game in 2006. Unfortunately, it happened to coincide at the same time as a Tennessee rivalry game and the place was packed (with a lineup out the door that formed 1/2 hour after we got there)! We got there an hour before the game and there were no seats and none opened up for the first 2 quarters (and the Ten game was on the big screen too so we needed to camp out near a smaller screen to see the game). We ended up leaving at halftime to watch the game in the lounge at the Poly. I realize that this isn't a good option for the OP going to Fantasmic but I just wanted to second the advice on getting there VERY early! Have fun!

I guess our obsession with sports is shared!

there is an 8:30 showing of Fantasmic but I have also found out that there are two showing of it on Sunday as well so I guess we good either way. Even with a 4:30 game we should still be able to get some park or pool time in.

:cool1:
