Collecting Fastpasses?

No. The CMs give you a card that is specific for the ride. On it, it says to return that day (good for 2 people), but we were told and experienced they could be used the following day. If you collect both FPs and Rider swaps, use the FPs first!

My sister saved a rider swap pass for TOT from our trip last summer and was able to use it this summer (even though the FP for TOT was down when we were there). One teenaged CM gave her quite a bit of grief about it, but the adults there didn't even blink and escorted her through.

You sure can!. The CM's pay no attention to the window, just the first time you can use them.

We were there the week of July 19th and found this to be true except on one occassion the CM took a look at them and said we needed to show up between the time stated. He still let us on though.

We also used GAD fastpasses and sometimes they never took them from us!

We felt a little guilty going to the front on ToT as at the time the regular fast pass system wasn't in operation (but not too guilty)

Sounds like FastPasses stay at a short return time longer at DL than at WDW. You can't get near as many FP at WDW because the 45 minute return only last for about the first hour or so. And it is not unusual for them to be all gone by mid afternoon.

Sounds like it should be fun at DL. We are going for the first time since we were kids this October. (and it has been many years since we were kids)

I think that's true. Although FP is underutilized in general, I feel like a vast majority at DL do not use it, more so than at WDW. We were at DLR around Halloween last year, and the Splash wait was like 70 minutes, yet the FP returned in 60. I could not imagine that EVERY single person in that line already had an active FP and therefore couldn't get one??!! I saw the same thing on HMH too - FP return earlier than the line.

And that does not count Roger Rabbit which is disconnected from the DL network.

Wow...I had no idea that Roger Rabbit is disconnected from the other FP machines. That is so awesome!
